Orkney Caravan Park is Orkney's largest caravan and camping park and run by The Pickaquoy Centre which sits directly adjacent to the campsite. The camping and caravan site located at the heart of Orkney, just a short walk from Kirkwall town centre and the North Isle Ferries, as well as being ideally located to explore the Mainland and South Isles.
Conveniently situated just a short walk from the town centre, the campsite is located within The Pickaquoy Centre complex and offers an impressive range of leisure facilities. Close to the local shops, supermarkets and restaurants - and near landmarks such as the St Magnus Cathedral, Earl’s Palace and the picturesque Kirkwall Harbour - Orkney Caravan Park is centrally located within the island to take your exploration in any direction you wish. Take in the beautiful scenery as you discover the island and learn about its history and culture.
The campsite has a variety of hard standing and grass touring pitches - 31 of which have electric hook-up supply and 32 are hard standing - chemical toilet disposal facilities, water refill access, grey water disposal and access to free WIFI. The Park also includes a modern amenities block with facilities including a comfortable lounge, laundry, kitchen, 12 individual cubical style shower/toilet units 4 toilet/wash-room units and 1 family/disabled shower/toilet unit, providing an idyllic camping experience for all visitors.
There is also two Camping Pods! The Magnus can accommodate up to 6 people, comprising of one double sofa bed, two sets of bunk beds. The Grainbank can accommodate five people, with one double sofa bed, one set of bunk beds and a single bed. The pods are conveniently located close to the toilets, the door and windows are double glazed and they come fitted with energy lights, heater and double sockets. They are also equipped with electric kettle, microwave and fridge. Free wifi is also included. Outside, we will provide a picnic table for each Pod and a private parking space. ** please note the camping pods have not been graded under VisitScotland's 1-5 star grading scheme.
The Pickaquoy Centre, located adjacent to the campsite, has a huge range of facilities to keep even the busiest of familes entertained!
