In Llangynog village, we are situated on the right hand side as the B4391 road heads up the hill to Bala.Top 10 Attractions Near Llangynog (≈30 mins)
1. Pistyll Rhaeadr Waterfall - Britain’s tallest single-drop waterfall, set in the Berwyn Mountains near Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant. It’s a spectacular spot for walking, photography, or simply enjoying the natural beauty.
2. Cadair Berwyn Summit & Berwyn Mountains - for panoramic views, hiking or mountain biking, you can head up to Cadair Berwyn, the highest summit in the Berwyn range. The surrounding Berwyn wilds offer peaceful trails and wide vistas.
3. Milltir Cerrig Mountain Pass - a scenic drive between Bala and Llangynog over the Berwyn range. At its summit you can start walks along the ridge with views that stretch far into the mountains.
4. Lake Vyrnwy - this large and scenic lake has walking and cycling paths around the shore, and places for lakeside picnics. It’s ideal for wildlife watching and relaxation.
5. Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid) - the biggest freshwater lake in Wales, offering water sports, walking, and often a steamer/train ride nearby. The town of Bala is also a lively spot for cafes and local shops.
6. Powis Castle & Gardens - located near Welshpool, this historic castle and beautifully kept gardens provide a mix of history, art, fine collection displays, and sweeping views over the countryside.
7. Chirk Castle & Gardens - this medieval castle on the Wales-England border offers grand interiors, lovely gardens, parkland walks, and a chance to explore Welsh history.
8. The Shrine Church of Saint Melangell - near Pistyll Rhaeadr, this small historic church in the hills offers a tranquil spot, beautiful surroundings and insight into local heritage.
9. Rhiwargor Waterfall & Lake Vyrnwy West End Walks - on the western side of Lake Vyrnwy, trails lead to Rhiwargor waterfall and scenic walking routes around the lake. Great for wildlife, quiet and scenic picnic spots.
10. Adventure Centre, Llangynog - close by in the village, this centre offers outdoor activity options, adventure-based walks, local guided trails and a chance to experience the Berwyn Mountains from more accessible points.
The New Inn is our local pub for food and drinks and Llangynog also has a few convenience stores for essentials. Further afield you have Bala (Co-op Food) or Llanfyllin (SPAR and a larger Co-op) or Oswestry (about 30 mins) has larger stores including Aldi, Morrisons and Tesco.

We have had a static on this park for two years now and continue to be extremely happy with everything from the caring family that own, and look after the park, if we need anything all we have to do is ask Ryan he's allways so helpfully and friendly, if anyone is thinking of coming to this park you are central to many places from Snowdon to Bala and all in-between, mountains to walk of climb, walks by the river, pop to the local pub, we just love it here from rain to brilliant sunshine.

We stayed for the Mick Extrance and local walks. House was lovely, set up well. The hosts had prepared booklets and other bits to make the stay very comfortable. The property came with milk, bread and general cooking bits. Was a really nice touch. Would 100% stay again, look forward to returning in the summer. Thank you

We have recently bought a beautiful holiday home on this park. The owners are friendly, super helpful and provide a relaxed, well maintained park. The views are outstanding, plenty of walks and friendly local pub. Looking forward to spending as much time as possible enjoying the peace and tranquility.

Under new management who are ready to look after the place and it customers! Very pleased about this as its a beautiful area that deserves respect and the new management plan to do just that. Lovely people who can't do enough for you, wasnt worried to ask for help.for anything! Absolute diamonds.
