Merley House Holiday Park is a wonderful collection of privately owned holiday homes, lodges, and cabins, found in the heart of Dorset close to the popular town of Wimborne. The park is typically open for owners between the middle of March and late October, although admission may be permitted over the Christmas and New Year periods depending on demand, at the discretion of the park owners.
Owners can also visit the park during the closed season should they wish, but are not permitted to stay overnight.
Facilities offered at the park for guests’ use include a laundrette and Wi-Fi internet, while park wide CCTV is provided to ensure the site is secure all through the year.
Things to do include a heated indoor swimming pool, outdoor paddling pool, outdoor terrace with spa, and two children’s play areas. There is also plenty of space for families to organise their own activities across the park, although the park owners have provided a designated area for football, cricket, and other ball games.
Merley House Holiday Park is ideally situated for guests looking to explore the rest of Dorset and the surrounding area. On the doorstep, guests will find access to miles of countryside and woodland walks, while a drive to the south coast allows for exploration of the world famous Jurassic Coast, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The New Forest National Park is also easy to reach from Merley House, while guests often enjoy heading out in the car and discovering the quaint market towns and villages of Dorset at their own pace.
Those who decide to spend a day at the beach will find plenty to do. Tourists wanting to fully embrace the area can take part in fossil digging and cave exploration, while the seas off Dorset are known for their cleanliness and calm, making them perfect waters for paddling and swimming.
Anyone who doesn’t want to stay on the beach can enjoy miles of cliff top walks offering awe-inspiring views, as well as take the opportunity to enjoy a boat trip out to sea, perhaps even heading out with a local fishing trawler. Other water activities available in the area include windsurfing and jet-skiing. Guests who prefer to keep their feet firmly on dry land can enjoy a round of golf at one of the several top class courses found in the area.
When it comes to eating and drinking guests staying at Merley House Holiday Park won’t be disappointed, either. There are plenty of places nearby to relax and get refreshed, with pubs and restaurants found across all the market towns, while the busier places like Poole and Bournemouth have a generous selection of outlets on offer.
These towns also offer a range of leisure and entertainment facilities for guests to enjoy during their trip, while there is also the option of a trip across to the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, or even to northern France.
A great place for a family break, Merley House is the ideal location for those who wish to buy holiday caravans in Dorset and make each one of them a home away from home!

Having just been away for the weekend we were very pleased and surprised at the large size pitches. The staff were extremely helpful and fellow campers so very friendly. Toilets and showers were lovely and clean. There was lots of places to go to but being local we don't always notice what is on your doorstep. We are definitely coming back again soon.
