oh dear! We stayed at Rookley Country Park again this year.. we did have a lovely time but were a bit dissapointed with some areas. Our garden had a big dip in it and a large drain was well above ground level (very dangerous), our spa had scum in it with minutes of us getting in (not cleaned properly) same issue with internal bath jets (black dirt appeared when jets were turned on), poor disorganised entrertainment, advertised pitch and putt but not available! This is a truely lovely place and Rookley management need to get the issues sorted. Mr & Mrs B

We stayed at Rookley 5 years ago in a caravan on the lakeside, really enjoyed it but I didn't really like the bar/club and found myself staying in at night when everyone else was a the club (yep really didn't like it) Last year we went back as it had been refurbished. It was brilliant, we stayed in a beautiful bungalow (with spa in the garden) and the club was excellent with lovely soft couches to relax in, staff were brilliant with the kids, magician was a bit dodgey but the kids loved him. Have just booked to go again, and the girl who took our booking remembered me from last year.. result!! lets hope this year is as good..watch this space... Mr & Mrs B

I have just returned from a holiday at Rookley Counrty Park and had a wonderful time. Everything about it was great, the accommodation, staff and entertainment. The bungalow we stayed in was a very high standard with all the mod cons, will definitely return

I found the general service of the people who work there, both in person and by phone - lousy. They have no manners, no people skills. The only skill they have is rudeness. We stayed at one of their 'sister' sites, which was dreadful. We went to complain at Rookley, in person. There were no pleasantries, no smiles. We complained at Rookley but were dismissed with "put it in writing". According to a previous receptionist we spoke to, they've had heaps of problems. DO NOT STAY HERE OR ANY OF THEIR SITES - IT'S FALLS SHORT ON EVERYTHING.

Warning no security, we stayed in one of the bungalows. you are unable to secure the doors other than the key locks ( no Bolts). we had a problem with a site Builder it was confirmed the next morning as we were leaving that he would have had a pass key to the door. we found him around the bungalow at 9pm in the dark as it was March no reason for him to be there. He had already displayed a very bad attitute to wards us earlier that evening. unable to report this as it was happening as no contact number for security or reception as they go home in the evening, the staff know this. so be warned there is no security or help only The Police.

We stayed in a tent in August 2007. On the face of it this campsite is ideal for a family holiday. The reality is much different. There isn't enough washing up sinks for the namount of people staying. A urinal was overflowing and wasn't fixed in the 10 days we were there. The indoor swimming pool and changing rooms were constantly filthy. We had to wait for over an hour for our food in the restaurant one evening, only to be served with the wrong order (and we weren't the only ones). We did try to complain and it fell totally on deaf ears, and this inspired me to warn others of this site. So, if you think this looks an ideal holiday destination, don't be fooled!!!
