Sireuil is conveniently situated 25 km from Barbezieux, 10km from Angouleme, 100km from Royan and 25km from Cognac, bordering the River Charente in a rural and natural setting. Francois de Valois, the Count of Angouleme, described the Charente as a "Pleasant and gentle" area and the same is still true today. The Charente lies in the middle of the Poitou, Limousin, Perigord and Aquitaine regions offering both a rich and varied history and an unforgettable cuisine.
