Campsite is nice with good facilities.
however the attitude and threatening behavior of campsite night security was appalling, they seemingly wait for guests to speak or go to the toilet block to tell people off and threaten to evict them.i spoke to several very upset guests who were also bullied by them.
lovely site spoilt by staff attitude!!

What a wonderful site. The staff were helpful and cheerful. We stayed for a week. When i mentioned fishing,We found ourselves pitched alongside the river(not sure if it was coincidence),which was great for nipping down the bank for a spot of fly fishing. The site was clean and well set out,the toilet block was very clean, but i must admit that the showers were'nt very powerful and fixed too close to the wall. The bins were emptied daily, the shop was handy and the pizzas from the takeaway were gorgeous. We'll be going back to this site again.

Having been to Richmond in a static for over 25 years we now have turned our hand to a tourer and what a find this site was and only 45 mins from home.
It is a lovely site for tourers, well maintained and spotlessly clean. The play park was ideal for the grandchildren and so was the stoney beach beside the river. The men in their green jumpers were very friendly, directing you to your pitch, emptying the bins and picking up litter to maintain the cleanliness of the site. We even got an egg from one of them from the free range chickens. The 'greenies' also arranged a sports day for the children on the Saturday we were there with prizes for all which is an excellent idea.
2 small negatives, the sinks for washing your plates etc were too low and they could do with a family bathroom. Although I was directed (again by a 'greenie') to a disabled shower which we were able to use for the four of us (2 adults, two small children). We will definitely be going back.
