Rigg Farm Caravan Park

Rigg Farm Caravan Park is a small holiday park found within the North York Moors National Park, close to the popular seaside resort of Whitby.

This campsite has four holiday caravans available for rent, along with 29 pitches that welcome touring caravans and tents. Several of the pitches at Rigg Farm Caravan Park are hardstanding and all of them have electric, water and drainage hook-ups, while there are shower and laundrette facilities available for guests to use, too. Guests can also replenish Calor Gas at the park.

The pitches at Rigg Farm Caravan Park are spread over two sites, and offer wonderful views of both Whitby Abbey and also the North Sea. A short walk onto the Moors themselves allows guests even more spectacular views out across Whitby, the sea and in all other directions. In fact, this campsite is perfectly placed for exploring the North York Moors as well as the rest of the region.

There are also many opportunities to go fishing in the area, while keen golfers will discover a variety of public courses where they can hone their game while on holiday.

There's also a high-octane Go Ape! centre in the southern section of the Moors. Other activities you can get involved with here include geocaching, rock climbing, orienteering and husky trekking – or do you fancy riding a Segway? Maybe you'd rather take things a bit more easy with some flat green bowling? There are activities for visitors of all ages and abilities, just take your pick!

Whitby beach is just a short walk from Rigg Farm Caravan Park and is one of the most picturesque and beautiful beaches on the North Yorkshire coast. The town of Whitby is worth a day out, too, with a diverse collection of architecture along with Captain Cook’s Museum, the Abbey that is visible from the park, as well as a number of pubs, restaurants and cafés, great if you'd like a night off cooking and washing up. As a seaside town, Whitby also has its fair share of great tasting fish and chip shops, amusement arcades and fairground rides. It is definitely a town for the whole family to enjoy!

About a 20-minute drive from this site there's the village of Goathland, where the popular TV show Heartbeat is filmed, and the quaint village and beach of Robin Hood’s Bay are a 10-minute drive from Rigg Farm, while the North York Moors Railway is another great day out.

The famous seaside resort of Scarborough is just a half hour drive from Rigg Farm Caravan Park and as well as the beach, there's a castle to explore, a Military Adventure Park and a Sea Life sanctuary, as well as lots of opportunities for a spot of retail therapy.
