Trentfield Farm is a quiet caravan and camping park situated on the banks of the River Trent. The park holds a three-star AA rating and is affiliated with The Caravan Club. The campsite is usually open from Easter until November, though this may change slightly depending on weather.
Trentfield Farm welcomes guests with tents, motorhomes and touring caravans and offers pitches with electric hook-ups for those who require them. All of the pitches are grassy and level. Four-way pitches are available so that if you are getting together for a holiday with other families and friends, you will be able to share the same space, subject to availability. Water points are provided at various locations across the park.
At Trentfield Farm other camping facilities available include a toilet and shower block, which also houses a washing up room, a laundrette, a free lending library, and 24-hour access to vending machines. There is even free Wi-Fi available for you to use during your holiday here.
If you fall in love with Nottinghamshire, why not make enquiries and put your name down for one of the seasonal pitches that are available at Trentfield Farm? Secure indoor caravan storage is also offered nearby for those planning to return to the site for the following season. This is the ideal solution for people who have no space for a caravan on their driveways at home, too.
The park itself is quiet and offers a real traditional camping experience for people, because there is no noisy bar or lively swimming pool at this campsite. There is, however, plenty of open space for children and adults to enjoy ball games and other activities.
If you are looking for something to do on-site you can enjoy a day of fishing on the Trent, with a generous section of river frontage available to be used privately by those staying at Trentfield Farm. There is also an excellent lake to be found a short drive from the park, which welcomes anglers from across the area.
Miles of trails suitable for walking and cycling head out from the park and across Nottinghamshire, with variable terrain meaning there is a route suitable for everyone no matter what their fitness level.
Away from the park, there are plenty of things to do for the whole family. Keen golfers will find a range of exceptional golf courses nearby.
You can enjoy a stroll from the campsite along the riverbank to the nearest pub, the Ferry Boat Inn, and there are plenty of other country pubs and restaurants near here.
The site is popular with fans of Robin Hood and anyone wishing to visit Sherwood Forest, with the visitor centre easily within reach of the park. Activities available in Sherwood Forest include the family friendly Go Ape! attraction, Sherwood Forest Farm Park, and Sundown Adventureland. Clumber Park and Sherwood Pines are also excellent tourist favourites that are found nearby.
Many guests choose to head to the popular market towns of the area, with Gainsborough, Newark, and Worksop all found a short drive away, as is the cathedral city of Lincoln. The park is close to the A1 motorway, so it is easy for you to explore further afield throughout the Midlands as well as South Yorkshire if you wish to.
