Rushin House Caravan Park has won Practical Caravan & Practical Motorhome magazines' Top 100 Sites Award as the 'Best Site in Northern Ireland' for six years in a row, 2010 - 2015 and again in 2017.
A quick look at what Rushin House campsite has to offer reveals why it's a winner for anyone who wants a camping holiday in Northern Ireland. It offers a tremendous location right alongside Lough MacNean, as well as a great level of facilities on-site. Recently the campsite has added an outdoor gym, which allows you to get fit while gazing at a lovely vista over the lake.
Although the site is only open from March to October, the owners will provide a handy 'aire de service' facility from November to February, by prior arrangement. This would particularly appeal to anyone looking for a motorhome stopover while touring Northern Ireland in the winter.
Rushin House Caravan Park is well located for exploring West Fermanagh and the surrounding areas of Cavan and Leitrim. If you like walking holidays, this site is close to the Ulster Way Walking Path. Dogs are welcome as long as they're kept under control.
Fishing is popular here and the site has a wooden fishing stand jutting into the still waters of Lough MacNean.
While some like fishing, others prefer cooking, and the next village to Belcoo is Blacklion, in County Cavan in the Republic of Ireland. Blacklion, under the Cuilcagh Mountains, is home to Ireland's famous chef Neven Maguire. He runs cookery courses and a top restaurant MacNean House and Restaurant,
Beleek Pottery and the Marble Arch Caves Geopark are two world-famous tourist attractions within a short distance of the park. A guided tour of the Marble Arch Caves takes you into an underground wonderland of impressive stalactites and stalagmites that you'd never suspect existed beneath the limestone hillside from the entrance and shop. When water levels permit, tourists can take a subterranean boat ride as part of their tour of the caves.
Other local attractions include Cuilcagh Mountain Park, Florencecourt House, Coralea Activity Centre, Enniskillen Museum and MacNean Sculpture Trail.
There are many other local events and festivals each summer. If you like motorsports, don't miss the international Circuit of Ireland race in Lisburn in April. This is followed in May, by the International North West 200, Ireland's famous motorcycle road race and festival in County Antrim.

The site was situated in a beautiful quiet location right on the lough side, standard of finish was first rate all over site with each pitch having own water and electricity. Lovely clean campers kitchen and communal areas well maintained, hot showers free of charge. Owner; Cathal lives on site and is very nice and friendly and keeps a good eye on things. Great for fishing, with slip for boats and outdoor gym, children's playground and other outdoor activities. Nice walk into Belcoo and Enniskillen, which is a lovely town with lots to do is just a short drive away. Great value, could see us going back again and again.

We returned to this site as we enjoyed it so much the last time. The setting is beautiful and the layout of the campsite is great. It is maintained to a very high standard and the kitchen/bathroom areas are immaculate. The children love it. It feels very safe and friendly. I'm sure we'll be back

One can only give an unqualified excellent to this site. The owner is most helpful and friendly, the site's position is without equal with stunning views over the lake and hills, and the facilities are first class - even the free wifi is at 20mbs speed. It is well placed for day trips Sligo, Enniskillen and many other attractive places.

Rushin House is by far the best all round site we have visited. The owners are the most welcoming and accomodating couple. The facilities are spotless no matter what time of the day you use them. The showers are to die for - hot, powerful and clean! The site is small (25 pitches) and extremely well maintained. For us this site is a home away from home. We stay there as often as we can. Pre booking in the summer is a must as it is so popular.

Rushin House Caravan Park is a small family run site situated on the border of County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland and County Cavan in the Republic of Ireland. It is situated on the banks of Lough MacNean just under one mile from the village of Belcoo in Northern Ireland and just over one mile from Blacklion in the Republic.
The situation is beautiful with uninterrupted views of the lake (as long as you get a pitch on the front row) and the hills around the surrounding area. It can take 25 caravans/camper wagons on very spacious concrete hard standing pitches, each of which has its own electric hook up (20A), water tap and drain. A criticism would be that these concrete pitches are so wide that there really is little or no room for an awning. The site has very high standard toilet/shower/camping kitchen facilities which are clean and heated. It also has a good play area for kids, although some caution is needed with children on this caravan park due to its lakeside situation.
My wife and I were pleasantly surprised when the site owner visited us shortly after we had arrived to check if we needed any help and to make sure we knew where the facilities were located.
This would be one of the most remote sites in Northern Ireland at roughly 100 miles from Belfast (or any of the ferry ports for entry to Northern Ireland), but fortunately the roads to this area from Belfast are excellent and certainly would be a pleasant surprise to people who have only caravanned in the Republic of Ireland.
As stated in the owners own write up this park is close to numerous visitor attractions in what is one of Ireland's most scenic areas, but is also well located for anyone heading either from the Belfast area or the ports to tour down the west coast of the Republic of Ireland, to use as a stopover.
While the site is not perfect (due to lack of awning space) it is without doubt one of the nicest sites on the island.
