Penrith is commonly referred to as the gateway to the Lakes and Foxfield Park is perfectly located for exploring all that the stunning Lake District National Park has to offer.

Lake Ullswater, the second longest lake in the Lake District, is just 5 miles away and is home to the Ullswater Steamers, which depart from Pooley Bridge and are perfect for a leisurely trip along the lake, with plenty of opportunities to get off and explore places such as Howtown and Glenridding.

Slightly further afield but still easily accessible, you’ll find Keswick, Grasmere – be sure to sample some famous Grasmere gingerbread when in the village, you won’t be disappointed! – Ambleside and Windermere all comfortably under an hour’s drive from your luxury base.

The beautiful Eden Valley, nestled between the Lakes and the Pennines, is also just a 10 minute drive away, whilst Carlisle and the Scottish border are also easily accessible by car.
