Hendre Mawr Caravan Park

Hendre Mawr Caravan Park is a small, charming holiday destination found in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales. This attractively landscaped holiday park is found close to the small town of Bala, the park has been rated at five stars by Visit Wales.

All of the holiday homes at Hendre Mawr are privately owned, while there are cottages for hire close by for non-owner guests looking to stay in the area. There are often brand new holiday homes for sale at the park, and sometimes pre-owned holiday caravans for sale. A children’s play park and a laundrette are among the facilities to be found at the site.

The park sits on a green hillside, and offers breathtaking views of the beautiful mountainous countryside and surrounding area. The town of Bala, in North Wales, is small yet lively, and has a bustling market that guests love to use to pick up bargains as well as a wide variety of local produce. Bala also has a number of great shops as well as cafés, pubs, and restaurants.

There are several other towns that are easily reached for a day trip. Towards the coast, guests will find Barmouth and Fairbourne, while further inland Machynlleth and Dolgellau offer historic and attractive town centres for exploring and shopping.

Visit the Bala Steam Railway for a fun experience that all members of the family will enjoy, as is a day at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, which houses both native and international wildlife, as well as having a play park and numerous activities on offer for children. Green Wood Forest Park is another popular family attraction in the area, and is definitely worth a visit.
