From the campsite you can see the chateau of Meyronne, chocolate box pretty when it is lit up at night. 5 minute walk
Souillac
A beautiful town famous for it’s summer Jazz Festival. Market twice a week one of which is at night.
Martel
A stunning town with seven towers, medieval houses and a flourishing commerce with twice weekly markets. Reptiland with snakes, crocodiles etc the biggest collection of reptiles in France. 15 minute drive
Creysse
Beautiful fortified village overlooking the Dordogne river,with Romanesque church towering over the village. 15 minute drive
Gramat
A beautiful market town with a wildlife park covering 40 hectares and home to 150 species of animals: bears, wolves, bison wild horses etc
Rocomadour
Famous for it’s religious interest, historical significance and beautiful architecture.
130 monkeys live in total freedom at Foret des Singes in a 20 hectare park.
At the Eagle’s Rock vultures, condor, eagles, falcons, owls, cockatoos and other types of parrot fly completely free for over an hour above the Rocomadour valley.
