There is plenty of room for serious swimmers, while there is also a safe shallow area for toddlers to paddle. An outdoor play area is a favourite among the children, with a huge pirate ship and various climbing frames and other activities.
Family activities at the park include the Osmington Ranger experience, which allows children to learn about the natural world and get up close and personal with a range of bugs and insects. Activities run throughout the year but more are offered during the school holidays. Other child friendly activities are offered at the park, perfect for when Mum and Dad want a break!
Guests can also pick up something to eat and drink without leaving the park. The on-site Country Club serves food and drinks from 9am to 9pm, while evening entertainment is provided on selected days of the week. A games room with a pool table, dartboard, and other activities is also available throughout the day for guests of all ages.
While Osmington Holiday Park caters brilliantly for guests looking to get active, there is a wealth of activities and attractions to be enjoyed in the surrounding area. Miles of nature trails are accessible both for walks and bike rides, while the Dorset beaches are famous for being some of the very best in the United Kingdom. The park is close to the UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic Coast, while the whole coastline offers opportunities for relaxing on golden sands, or taking part in pursuits like cave exploring, rock pooling, and even fossil digging.
Coarse fishing is available at a nearby lake, while sea fishing can also be enjoyed from the beach or via boat. Guests that head into Weymouth, Poole, Bournemouth, or one of the smaller coastal towns may even find they can arrange a trip out to sea with a local fisherman.
Weymouth has plenty for tourists to see and do, including a sea life centre, Weymouth Tower, and Nothe Fort. There are also theme parks, zoos, farms, and various other family friendly places to go in the local area, and tourists on the south coast are never short of choice when it comes to things to do.
