Crystal Palace Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

London, London

London is the lure here. The number 3 bus takes you directly to Piccadilly. Popular with families from Europe during the summer months, this is a busy, but friendly site on the edge of a pleasant park with many attractions for children. London is a city for all seasons, so you can avoid the queues by avoiding the summer months - half terms are good times for families with children. Events out of season include the Ideal Home Exhibition in March; the Caravan Show (October/November) and the Motor Show in October to name but a few. Don't forget the Christmas lights, a good excuse for festive shopping from mid-November to bargain hunting in early January. There's so much to see and do - from the Changing of the Guard and the Tower of London to Madame Tussauds, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, museums, theatres, shops and art galleries. The list is endless - you will not be bored!

We visited this site for 4 days, it had easy access from the main road, and the wardens at reception were very friendly and helpful.
The site is overlooked by a huge transmission mast, but apart from that the site is set amongst trees and the grounds are well kept.the washrooms are clean but because of the hard water may not look as sparkling as other sites we have visited.
A 10 minute walk along the main road gets yiu into crystal palace town, there are several great restaurants and bars in the town, and we spent a few afternoons shopping there, it was very pleasant.
London can be reached by bus or train, we did both.
The bus takes around an hour, the train 25 mins, so make up your own mind,
There are late trains and buses back to the site, and the area feels safe to walk around late at night
All in all a great site and location to visit london, but don't forget to give crystal palace a chance as well
