A caravan site on the east coast of Sutherland, set in a sheltered saucer of land just 300 yards from a safe, sandy beach, where Arctic Tern nest just above the waterline. Imagine playing golf directly from the site and using the course as your pathway to the sandy beach close by. It's a site to unwind on, with marvellous walking and birdwatching to be had in the area and sea or loch fishing too. Watching is a way of life here with Arctic Terns, seals, dolphins and deer to order. To see the spectacular scenery of the region you can walk, drive or cyde along quiet routes to discover the many picturesque Iochs and mountains. The single track rail journey to Wick is a scenic must and the Orkney Islands beckon with day trips from John O'Groats, feasible from Brora during the summer.

A lovely quiet site. Be aware that just after turning off the A9 at Brora there is a skew bridge over the railway which needs to be taken at caution but nothing to worry about.
The site is to the usual high standards of the C.C. and are alongside a golf course. The course is a municipal one which you can play at Brora.
A gate leads onto the golf course from the site, and after crossing it, which takes just a couple of minutes you are on a long sandy beach.
To the right against the tide line is some shingle where Arctic Terns nest and if you get too close they dive bomb you.
Some lovely drives around the area, Loch Brora and Glen Loth just two where you will see deer.
A trip up the A9 takes you to John O Groats (about 60 miles) via Helmsdale, wheres theres a nice fish & chip shop.
Highly recommended.
