Coniston Park Coppice Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Coniston, Cumbria

Enquire Now You enquired

An imaginatively landscaped site in 63 acres of National Trust woodland. Pitches are grouped in open glades and there's access from the bottom of the site across fields to Coniston Water. The proximity of Lake Coniston is a great bonus, for a short walk of 400 yards brings you to the lakeside launching point for dinghy sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. Steam boat rides on the Coniston Gondola and boat hire is available from Coniston Pier (Im). The site is a marvellous central point for exploring the whole National Park with its dramatic combination of lakeland and soaring fell. Needless to say, the walking is matchless - plenty of choice from the site - and birdwatchers will have their binoculars in constant use, espedally in the Grizedale Forest. Younger families thoroughly enjoy the ~adventure" that this site has to offer, which includes an on-site Junior Orienteering Course and Red Squirrel Nature Trail.
