Rarely is a campsite as aptly named as Serenity. Although the caravan park is just off Hinderwell High Street, it's far enough from the road that no traffic noise can be heard – and close enough that it is easy to access.

Serenity Touring Caravan & Camping Park welcomes caravans, motorhomes and tents to its campsite in North Yorkshire, close to the county's stunning North Sea coastline. Spread across five acres and giving guests amazing views of the North York Moors National Park within which the campsite is set, there are a variety of pitches.

In the camping field, reserved for tents, there is also a wildlife pond, an area for barbecues and five electric hook-ups. For caravans and motorhomes there are 20 grass pitches, all of which have 10A electric hook-ups and can accommodate barbecues, plus there are three luxury, fully serviced, hardstanding pitches, too.

Towards the centre of the campsite is the heated washblock, with toilets and showers, as well as hair drying facilities. There's also a laundrette, while the communal kitchen has a tumble dryer and washing machine, an iron, a fridge/freezer and a microwave, and there's an area for washing your dishes.

If you want to bring your four-legged friend with you on your camping, motorhome and caravan holidays in Yorkshire, you're in luck, as Serenity Touring Caravan & Camping Park is most definitely a dog friendly campsite, with on and off lead walks from the site itself. However, guests are reminded to clean up after their dogs and to keep them on the lead at all times, as there are free range hens roaming around the caravan park.

Serenity Touring Caravan & Camping Park is in the little village of Hinderwell, a short way back from the North Yorkshire coast, so if you fancy a night off cooking, leave the car, caravan, motorhome or tent on site and head there for a pub dinner, or grab fish and chips.

The Cleveland Way National Trail is close to this campsite. Running for 110 miles along the dramatic coastline and round the moody beauty of the North York Moors National Park, and taking in castles, quaint fishing villages and more, it's a wonderful walk to get the most from the region and from your camping and caravan holidays in North Yorkshire, offering great natural diversity and breathtaking views that will last a lifetime.

Whitby is less than 10 miles south of this campsite, plus Redcar and Middlesbrough aren't far away either, meaning if you need to go somewhere larger to top up your holiday supplies, you won't go without. While in Whitby, you could visit Whitby Abbey, Whitby Museum or head to the beach. The Kirkleatham Museum is worth a trip if you're having a day out in Redcar, the nearby Kirkleatham Owl Centre also a top destination. In addition, the famous, traditional seaside town of Scarborough is less than an hour's drive from Serenity Touring Caravan & Camping Park, down the A171.

Either way, while enjoying a peaceful break at this coastal campsite, you will not be short of things to do on your camping, motorhome and caravan holidays in Yorkshire.
