ariived and told to park anywhere as it was quiet at the time so pulled on the field and it was water logged so tractor had to pull us out ov the mud not a good start caravan wasnt white no more thanks to the ankle deep mud!! wild deer and aggressive ponys that dont like dogs just a few metres away from our pitch and the toilets there was windows missing and a strong smell of urine and insects everywhere overall cleanliness a 2 out of 10..entertainment was standard disco and bingo not my cuppa tea.£3.30 for a pint of lager is was that entertaining we came back a day early not alot of things to do in silloth i wudnt recommend the site again...overall enjoyment factor...4-5/10!

Extremely disappointing, touring site looks like (and was) an abandoned airfield. Requested a hard-standing with electric, on arrival was told there were no hard-standings, was offered a totally unsuitable pitch for my unit (20ft 3400kG Motorhome), which I could not get onto / or off the pitch (and had to be towed off by tractor).
Time to either smarten up/close down. Touring & Camping expectations have moved on a bit since the 1950's.

we came here a few wk back when we got here we where told to just pitch any where on the field as they where not busy, was lots of room for caravan, awning and car but found over the wkend people were letting there dogs use it as a was a big park but its now very run down the toilets came with a key with a plug that you had to use for the sink very cold and dirty the cafe was tidy but high chairs needed a good clean its a shame as the kids club was really nice but there was only 3 familys in these over the wkend the swimming pool was ok but that was also dirty put it this way we went in the pool on saturday and when we came home sunday all 3 kids(5ys,2yrs and 1 yr old)were being sick and the 2 youngest were going throught nappys like no tomorrow its a crying shame as its a very cheap site and as lots to do ie:farm, club house, games room and the beach is just over the road we would go back IF it was cleaned up and they didnt use the same staff for pool watch in the day waiting staff for the cafe in the evening and bar staff at the night

friendly staff and superb entertainment. especially liked the non smoking bars. only let down was the touring toilets and showers, they were cold and dirty so we went to the swimming baths late on an afternoon to swim and then shower. will be going back this year hopefully the showers will be better!
