Surrounded on three sides by woodland, the Park is terraced on gentle slopes towards the estuary of the River Leven flowing from Windermere, and the River Crake from Coniston Water.

Most vans have views of the sands, and nearly all have views of the hills stretching from the fells above Ulvertson to the Langdale Piles in the distance.

The seaside resort of Grange-Over-Sands is only 5 miles to the East, and Morecambe is 30 miles to the South.
Nearby is the steam railway at Haverthwaite, and the beautiful priory village of Cartmel.
