Killorglin Mobile Home Park is a small and quiet family and pet friendly holiday retreat a short distance outside of Killorglin, County Kerry, close to the south west coast of Ireland.
The park is open from mid-April until mid-October every year, and welcomes guests with touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents, as well as having a selection of well-equipped static holiday homes for hire.
Stay here and you'll enjoy the site's picturesque location, bordered by the River Laune, with clear views of Carrauntoohill, Ireland’s highest mountain – it is a stunning place to spend your camping and caravan holidays in Ireland.
Hardstanding pitches are available at Killorglin Mobile Home Park, while all of the touring caravan and motorhome ready pitches are serviced with electric hook-ups. Seasonal pitches are available, too. And while it is a dog friendly campsite, please keep your four-legged friends under control at all times and make sure you clean up after them.
When you visit Ireland and stay here, you'll find that the on-site facilities include shower and toilet blocks, a washing up area, chemical waste disposal and recycling points, a free ice pack freezing service and a battery charging service.
There is plenty for guests to do on-site, with tennis courts for the whole family to take to if they’re feeling active, while a games room is on hand for those wanting to enjoy pool or other less strenuous activities – it's also great for rainy days. The children’s play area is always popular among younger guests, while anyone looking for a relaxing day on-site can enjoy fishing in the river, with private spots available owing to the park’s frontage onto the Laune.
Away from Killorglin Mobile Home Park there are a great many activities to be enjoyed. Guests preferring to keep it simple can head out on foot to explore the incredible countryside and surrounding mountains, with cycling and horse riding also offered close by. A leisure centre with an indoor swimming pool and climbing wall is found in town, with Killorglin just a mile away from the site. There are also a number of exceptional golf courses within an hour of the park, though there is a great quality one in town for those looking to stay local.
Public transport runs into town from just outside the park for guests looking to leave their car, campervan or motorhome on-site.
There are several bars and restaurants found in town, offering a range of food options for families to choose from, while those preferring to self-cater can pick up great local produce and low prices from the farmer’s market held in town. A shop is found on-site for buying everyday grocery essentials, with larger convenience stores and supermarkets situated in the town.
Killorglin Mobile Home Park is close to the N72, so despite is gorgeous location, you can still get out and about easily. You might want to visit Killarney and the Killarney National Park, about 20 minutes away by car. Cork is about an hour and 40 minutes away.
