We've visited Overwater many times over the past few years and love the peaceful setting. We've watched the new pitches being created and the new shower block being built.

Overwater Marina is well placed for Nantwich a short drive away, the Secret Bunker is literally just along the road, Bridgemere also a short drive away. Easily accessible from junction 16 of the M6.

As I write the new pitches and shower block are not yet fully open, the water points are in place but the electric points aren't. However, all pitches are a reasonable size with plenty of space between them, although an awning would probably need to be pitched on the grass rather than the hard standing itself, much as the CL pitches. The main building facilities are excellent, with 2 showers and toilets in both the men's and ladies, with a separate Disabled shower room and a laundry/dishwashing area. They are always spotlessly clean. I'm sure the new block will be kept to a similar high standard.

If you want to abandon the car for the weekend it is possible to hire bicycles from reception, there is a cafe "Cafe at Bridge 80" which does marvelous cakes and a variety of meals. It's a nice walk along the canal to Audlem, a small beautiful village with a Co-Op and a handful of pubs, a butchers, coffee shop, church etc. A walk around the Marina itself is also lovely if you don't want to venture too far.

There is a small shop at reception for necessities catering to both narrow boats and the touring community. Access to the touring area and main reception is via a gate which has a pin code for access outside normal hours, the toilets and showers are also protected in this way.

A delightful site which I hope will only be enhanced with the new addition of the 10 new pitches and facilities block.
