I booked because it said it was a friendly campsite and dog friendly. It also said there would be dog beds, bowls, tethers and treats. None of those things were there and when I asked for them I was told they didn't do them and I had the wrong website until I showed them where it said it on the website. A week later and the offer is still there. I don't have high standards for friendliness but I have yet to see a smile from a member of staff. The campsite is quiet but that comes at a high price. It is easy to break a site rule because they're not advertised anywhere. Perhaps this is because they enjoy telling people off. One of the people on the site must have broken a site rule because they were SHOUTED at by the over-zealous wardens the next morning (without giving them an opportunity to explain etc), after having a letter put on their door the night before telling them how to look after their dog with highlighted sections. Completely unsuitable for children unless you want them to learn manners (or lack of) like that. It is worse than being at school and makes you too afraid to enjoy your holiday which is truly sad. I'm also terrified my child would do something to incur the wrath of the wardens so we spent as much time off site as possible. Such a miserable experience I'm tempted not to return to Cornwall. Much nicer and cheaper parks are available.

Wonderful place. One of the best in the UK. We stayed one Christmas and were treated like royalty. We initially booked a caravan for Christmas, but was delighted upon arrival to be allocated a beautifully warm log cabin at the same price as the caravan. One snag, the fuse went and we were without electric for about an hour, but there were too many plusses for this to dampen out spirits. If only all places were like this!

The Past

We have been staying at this site for at least twenty years on and off and it just gets better every time. Quite, tranquil and secluded, the perfect place to wind down at and well sited for most of southern Cornwall. Plenty of peace and quite. Not enough happening to attach childern which we feel is a plus factor. There are quite a lot of static van on this site in the last few years but they tend to keep themselfs to their own area.
It would be difficult to find a beter site in Cornwall for Adults.
