We stayed on this camp site last year. It was a cheap and cheerful site so decided to go again this year. 2 adults and 4 kids.
When we arrived the site appeared to be under construction which was not mentioned when booking but I suppose everyone needs to work.
The owners weren't that friendly unless they were trying to sell you fire logs but never mind we weren't there for chit chat we were there for the kids to have a good time and enjoy the outdoors.
There was hardly anyone on the site, a few caravans which seemed to be friends of the owners and only one other tent, this seemed unusual considering the time of year and weather.....now I know why!!
On what seemed to be the hottest day of the year and around 34 degrees! We had been off the site all day and when we got back the kids wanted a water Fight to cool down which is completely normal for kids to play! My kids and the only other tents kids played.
The owner came over and said we couldn't use the water as they were on a meter. I said well we've been off site all day so it's only what we would of used and the kids are hot. The kids played with the water in-between the 2 tents on the site. There was lots of room for them to play and they were respectfull of the surroundings. Them the owner came over and said he was turning the water off. At first I thought he was joking! How mistaken was I! He turned the water off and proceeded to wave his finger and rudely saying that we were not welcome back on site! Said the kids had left water running and broken showers. The kids were never left alone while showering. None of them were old enough! They said they had complaints from other campers that the kids were running around unsupervised and not looked after!!! but matter of fact was we were hardly in site as we felt that unwelcome!
I would not recommend this site to any family or anyone that would want to use water!!
