Barcdy Touring Caravan & Camping Park is a friendly family run park set in the beautiful surroundings Snowdonia National Park in Wales. The park features a sheltered valley, fringed by wooded hills at one end and opening to amazing views of Dwyryd Estuary.
More than sixty years ago Barcdy opened for its first visitors and the original family still operates the park. Many of visitors return with either their motorhome, tent or touring caravan year after year, assured by the standards of comfort and cleanliness that have been upheld each time.
The park offer a wide choice of activities, and you could engage in a different sport each day if you wanted to. Spend the day golfing, fishing, sailing, pony trekking or, of course, walking. For the more adventurous there are Zip rides, mountain bike tracks and the great underground trampoline Bounce Below, all within easy reach of Barcdy. Many good pubs and excellent restaurants in the area will accommodate the heartiest appetite and offer a wide variety of excellent cuisine. The very best tourist centres of Wales are within easy reach of Barcdy.
Rolling hills behind the park invite you to walk upward to the top to enjoy some gorgeous views of mountains and sea. Shoot some fantastic photos of the Lleyn peninsula or the Snowdon range. Continuing your walk, the tranquil waters of the Tecwyn lakes come into view. This idyllic and quiet space is ideal for fishing, dabbling on an artist’s canvas, composing some poetry or simply lying back to watch the sky. From here a lovely short walk will return you back to the site.
Barcdy is an ideal base for extensive exploration of Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales, whether you are looking for small and friendly villages, woodland and rolling hills, or inspirational coastal areas and sandy beaches. This park truly offers something for everyone, and an opportunity to holiday here is one that you should not miss for any reason.
