Access

The access is very poor with a heavily pot holed access with overhanging branches which were impossible to avoid with a motorhome.

There is no signage showing where the access is on arrival which is very confusing and nearly lead us the wrong way which would have been difficult to reverse back to the road from.

The Field

Poorly maintained and uneven field with grass clippings not collected meaning they were trailed through the awning and motorhome.

Electric Hook-up

Shocking (no pun intended). The system tripped with minimal equipment being used. They are not fit for purpose.

If you are on the far side of the site you have to run cables the full width of the site which are a tripping hazard and have to be over-run by vehicles.

Toilet

Don’t know where to start with the onsite toilet. Its in a garden shed type arrangement and were unclean when we arrived and were not touched throughout the weekend. No toilet paper and no soap or hand sanitiser provided. Also there was no way to dry your hands.

The tap when applied was so strong that it soaked you the wall and floor.

Additionally, the toilet feeds in to a septic tank which was visibly overflowing into the surrounding ground.

Got to be the worst on site toilets I have encountered on a campsite.

Rubbish

Only two standard domestic wheely bins provided with a note advising you to take your rubbish home when they are full. This is not acceptable.

General

I have read other reviews which state that the site is in ‘transition’. Until this is completed, they should be charging £5/night not £25/night. And there is no excuse for the toilets.

In response to other reviews, it is claimed that issues raised had now be resolved and that simply is not the case.

As you can imagine I would not recommend nor return.

You should be ashamed !!
Absolutely filthy toilet! No toilet roll no hand sanitizer COVID waiting to happen!!! No WiFi loads of units Hooked up together using splitters ! Our little heat lamp kept blowing the system , It is supposed to be a small site of about 10 vans and 10 tents !!! On Saturday afternoon a party of people arrived consisting of 7 cars 6 tents 10 adult females and approximately 12 children 😱 they caused no hassle whatsoever but how can the site owners justify this happening???? We were asked to take our rubbish home , which was not a problem, but lots of people were still dumping their rubbish around the 6!!!!!! Only bins!! It was a disgusting site to witness
How can the caravan & camping club allow this site to be used and abused like this??? ESPECIALLY during the virus risks still escalating
