Owner's description

You are assured of a warm welcome at Bo Peep!

Why do so many of our friends regard it as their favourite site?

Perhaps it’s the character of the place; the open space, the views, the warm Cotswold stone, the doves in their dovecotes or the rabbits in the fields.

Perhaps it is the informal and spacious pitches - no straight lines here!

Perhaps it is the fine grass areas, the picnic tables and the sound of evening birdsong.

Perhaps it is the peaceful strolls around the farm, through the woods and along the river bank in a variety of circular routes.

It may be the quality of life in the area; the rich choice of pubs and restaurants, the real ales or the cleanliness of the air.

Or is it the elegance of a bygone era in the Oxford colleges, the Georgian architecture at Leamington Spa or the country style at Great Tew?

As a touring centre, it has real choices and whatever your heart desires there is a variety of activities so that no two days will be the same.

Perhaps you simply want to relax and stay onsite - whatever your reason for coming - you will be assured of a warm welcome at Bo Peep.

The park is approached via a half mile driveway and there are four miles of walks around the fields, along the river bank and through the woods.

11 Jan 2013: Vangoer from London reviewed Bo Peep Farm Caravan Park

This is a nice location for visiting a variety of places and an excellent touring base. The site itself is nicely kept but as we went towards the end of the season it was looking a bit tired. Ther's a good little shop on site with plenty of basics and the wardens are on site all the time. The walking facilities on site are really good and ideal for dogs/ kids. One thing about it though it is not quiet as you can hear traffic in the distance constantly, but it depends what you're looking for, you do tend to get used to it after a couple of days. Ther are several good places to eat a short drive away but if you're looking for peace and quiet, unless you have kids of your own I'd probably look for somewhere a lot further from the motorway.

We stayed here over the first May bank holiday and enjoyed it very much. The facilities were excelent. Their was only one down side the riverside walk was a little disappointmenting in the way it only went round the field.
But on the whole I would recommend it.

Practical Caravan Top 100 Parks Awards 2005

Arriving at the site at the end of the half-mile Tarmac drive, visitors will be struck by a sense of spaciousness. There are five fields, some level, some slightly sloping, with pitches arranged around the perimeter to maintain privacy.
The two toilet buildings are spotlessly clean and are heated in cold weather. The first is situated in the old farm buildings and includes free showers, a dishwashing area, launderette and food preparation areas. The slightly larger, purpose-built second block is very well maintained. There are plans to improve the disabled facilities.
An on-site shop, housed in the reception area, stocks bread, milk, newspapers and other basic supplies. Picnic tables are scattered around the site, and the four miles of walks around the 84-acre farm will certainly keep you occupied.
A dovecote and a Grade II listed barn are two unusual features, while another unusual provision is the car/caravan washing bay, equipped with a power washer, which can be used for a nominal extra charge.
Dogs on leads are welcome at this site and are well-catered for, with a special path that runs alongside Sor Brook for one quarter of a mile. Plenty of bins for depositing dog waste line the route.
Although children are welcome, there are no designated play facilities or baby-care facilities in the sanitary blocks.
The site has 114 pitches, with simple but well maintained facilities for both caravanners and campers. The nearest village is Adderbury, but Banbury is also close by, and there is easy access to Shakespeare country and the Cotswolds.
A £1.50 discount is available for members of the Caravan Club.

Bo Peep is a haven for country lovers as the driveway smoothly takes you from the B4100 into the peace and quiet of the woods. There are five different areas in which you can pitch up, each with its own character. The vast majority of these are grass, and they all have electric hook-ups (16A). Twenty eight all-weather pitches are available on request. The pitches are well drained as they are on a slight rise, with the land running down to the Sor Brook. The grass is also kept trim so you should have no problems setting up or packing away. In case your caravan gets muddy, a wash-down facility is also available.

The heated washrooms are in excellent condition. The chemical waste points are easy to use and have a separate waste water disposal unit. Laundry is taken care of in a double room block. Bo Peep is dog-friendly, as long as pets are kept under control, and dog-waste bins with plastic bags are dotted around the 84-acre site.

If you do wish to take a break from nature, there are plenty of Cotswold villages to visit nearby. National Trust properties including Upton House and Canon Ashby are in easy reach, as are Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, and Banbury, with its famous cross and cakes. There’s plenty of nightlife, with Adderbury and its five pubs just one mile away. Bo Peep has a CCTV system that guards the main entrance and road. The warden and manager also live on the site.
