If you need something more to tire the kids on their motorhome, camping and caravan holidays, remember that when pitched here you're not far from the beach – it will take about 30 or 40 minutes to drive to Poole or Bournemouth from this campsite. Both have plenty of shops and places to get a bite to eat, so you can enjoy a day off cooking while on your holidays. Poole also has the Splashdown Water Park, which is great for all the family, with pools, flumes and more. While popular things to do in Bournemouth include the world famous Bournemouth Pier, plus there's an aquarium, known as the Oceanarium, which is a great day out.
Also a 30- or 45-minute drive from this campsite is Paultons Theme Park, the Home of Peppa Pig World, a super destination for families on their camping holidays. While much nearer is the Moors Valley Country Park, home to the high-octane Go Ape! centre – and much more.
For more gentle things to do, take the half hour drive to Salisbury and spend time in this historic cathedral city, or visit Shaftesbury, also around 30 minutes away. Or how about the mysterious Stonehenge? It's less than an hour's drive from this New Forest Camping and Caravanning Club Site.

Visited Summer 2004:
Really good site, with a friendly welcoming feel from the moment you arrive. Ideal for exploring the New Forest or taking a trip to Poole or Bournemouth. Pitches seemed a bit cramped, but then again it was the peak of summer. Easy to find location, but beware of the busy main road. Good clean toilet & shower block.
