Verwood, New Forest Camping and Caravanning Club Site is a beautifully located caravan park found a short distance outside of the New Forest National Park. We are open from late March until early November, and have pitches suitable for motorhomes, tents, and touring campervans. Serviced pitches with electric hook-up are available, while laundry, washing up, and chemical waste disposal facilities can also be used during your stay. Wi-Fi internet access is provided to help you keep up to date with events at home or plan your day in the New Forest National Park and surrounding area, while a children’s play area and clubhouse means youngsters will never be bored.
The famous seaside towns of Poole and Bournemouth are just 16 miles away from our location. Both have numerous shops and attractions for the whole family, while ferry trips can be taken from here to the Isle of Wight, Jersey, Guernsey, and even Northern France if you want to head a little further.
Within the New Forest National Park, the border of which is seven miles from our site, you’ll find a range of enjoyable outdoor activities, including walking, fishing, and cycling, with many great routes and waterways available for you to explore.
Away from the New Forest, there are many great locations for exciting family days out. Splashdown Water Park is located in Poole and is great for those who love the water as well as any little ones who might be new to swimming. Paultons Family Theme Park has something for all ages and is definitely somewhere to spend the whole day. Moors Valley Country Park includes the popular Go Ape! attraction, as well as a miniature gorge railway.
The famous cathedral city of Salisbury can be found a short distance north of our park, which has narrow cobbled streets, a market, and various other traditional features as well as chain stores and modern restaurants for you to enjoy something to eat and drink. Those who like being at one with nature will find the start of the South West Coastal Path at Poole, which runs 600-miles around the coastline all the way to Minehead, in Somerset. The early section of the path takes you along many cliff top paths and to several of the great beaches of the area, including Swanage, which is a designated Blue Flag beach and one of the best in all the United Kingdom.
Visited Summer 2004:
Really good site, with a friendly welcoming feel from the moment you arrive. Ideal for exploring the New Forest or taking a trip to Poole or Bournemouth. Pitches seemed a bit cramped, but then again it was the peak of summer. Easy to find location, but beware of the busy main road. Good clean toilet & shower block.
