Situated between moor and sea, not far from the ancient village of Modbury, this makes a splendid base from which to explore South Devon. It's a bit of a dilemma whether to make for Dartmoor and the silence and solitude, the tumbling streams and the long views, or go south and seek out some of the small villages of the South Hams, the tiny sandy coves and the Coastal Path which follows the south western peninsula with dogged persistence from Dorset round to Somerset. Either way you'll win, for both are absorbing. For a shopping spree, try Plymouth.

This was my first attempt at caravaning, and what a site to visit for a novice like me. From the moment I entered the site I could not ask for more. The warden immedietly helped me set up and gave me lots of helpful hints without being a nuisance. The park was very clean and well cared for, There was a fish and chip van on our first night, but be warned the portions are huge. The park is one for the famillies with dogs, there is a great dog walk that again was spotless. The only drawback were the roads to the park, these are quite narrow but had lots of passing points. All in all a great park, friendly staff and lovely part of Devon close to Plymouth,Exeter and some great beaches. I will definetly be going back Broad Park Caravan Club Site, Ivybridge, Devon
