Oakdown received the Practical Caravan and Practical Motorhome 'Best Green Site Award' in 2013; so it isn't surprising that touring guests are welcomed to a delightfully landscaped park filled with trees, hedges and flower beds. There's a choice of level, non-serviced (no hook-up), serviced (hook-up) or super-serviced (hook-up, water and drainage) pitches.
Children will love the adventure playground with its web-like climbing frame, bouncy ride-on toy, swing and mini climbing wall. And everyone will love the Oak Lodge Cafe, where you can go to enjoy a range of coffees, teas and cold drinks, and give in to the temptations of hot foods, cakes, pasties, sandwiches and in summer the ultimate Devon holiday treat – Devonshire cream teas. The Oak Lodge is open 8am - 8pm all season and it's a pet-free and smoke-free part of the holiday park.
Situated on the World Heritage Site Jurassic Coast near Sidmouth, Oakdown has a nine-hole, par 3 golf course opposite and a walking trail that leads directly to Devon's famous Donkey Sanctuary. You could also take in a stretch of the South-West Coast Path from here.
The Leisure Lodges are home from home. Each one of these is centrally heated, double glazed, fully fitted with a microwave, and fitted out with co-ordinating bed linen and duvets. Each lodge has a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Each lodge has a spacious kitchen with a microwave oven, fridge and freezer, full electric cooker and vacuum cleaner. Lodges are suitable for to four-to-six people. The heated shower rooms also have a hand basin and toilet. Each Caravan Leisure Lodge has two centrally heated bedrooms, one with a double bed and Flat Screen TV, while the other has two single beds - all with co-ordinating duvets and linen included in the tariff. The beautiful lounge has sprung seating, remote controlled flat screen TV, DVD player and electric fire.
