We booked a 4 berth caravan for the week (11/18th July, 2009) for my husband and myself. We chose this site because of the wonderful holidays we had with our children (in our tourer) over 15 years ago. Going back was scary as we were not sure if the site had changed in any way.
We were delighted that it looked familiar as we approached the roundabout, although after all these years, extremely tidy and well maintained. We were greeted, given our key and instructions most efficiently by Barbara and off we set. The caravan was obviously almost new and was absolutely pristine clean. We were delighted with the very high standard of furnishings and all kitchen utensils. There was coffee, tea and milk upon arrival which was very welcome after the long drive.
Although the pool, laundry and hairdressers seemed to look the same, this was all very clean and well maintained considering how many years we had last visited. The animal corner was very clean and an attractive area for children and adults alike. There is a wonderful new playground to complement that area but it was a shame that the shop was no longer open, however, Broadway is only 5 minutes by car and a healthy walk of about half an hour if you care to exercise. There are plenty of tea rooms, pubs and shops in the village and a very good Indian take-away at Sandy's Arms nearby which I would recommend to anyone.
This site is suitable for families with children young couples or those in their retiring years.
We cannot praise the standards achieved and maintained on this site and the professionalism of staff there. We had a fabulous holiday where our friends joined us for a one night stay and had a marvellous stay. Through our experience at Leedons Park, we have passed on website details to two other families over the last two days. Thank you for a wonderful stay, it made our holiday a week to remember. We visited this site for the first time last year for bonfire night. It was one of the best displays we have been to on a caravan park. The Lay out was very good and easy to follow. It was well organised with lots of food and refreshments on site. Everyhting was taken care of to make it a very good event. The park is flat and has lots of touring pitches with room to move. The facilities are excellent very clean as is the park itself. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. This infact is leading us to our second visit this weekend. There are lots of to do for the children a little pool for the good weather also birds and animals to look at as well as the ducks. There is also a shop, take away, bar, launderette and also a hair dressers everything you could wish for to make your stay unforgettable. The town is not far away if you fancy a stroll.
Give it a try will suit all types of campers and ages.
