Maustin Park is a beautiful, award winning holiday park a short distance from the town of Wetherby, found in the heart of the lower Wharfe Valley on the banks of the River Wharfe itself. The park is owned by the Larkham family and Maustin Park is happy to welcome tents, motorhomes and touring caravans to the site. There are some fully serviced pitches available for guests with touring caravans and motorhomes. You can also buy static holiday caravans at Maustin Park if you fall in love with the area and decide to make it your regular holiday escape and home from home.

The main touring field at Maustin Park is well sheltered from the elements, so guests can relax throughout their stay with maximum comfort. A number of facilities are installed at the site, which guests can use during their time at Maustin Park. The amenities block includes toilets and showers, while there is also a washing up area and laundry room. Guests can also store food in the freezer, while waste disposal and water taps are available on site, along with free Wi-Fi internet.

The Stables Bar and Restaurant is the social centre of the park, where guests head to enjoy a drink and some great tasting, homemade food, while socialising with their families and others staying at the park. Sunday lunch, 'fish and chip Fridays', and the desserts at the restaurant are legendary in the area, and all food is locally sourced. A selection of local ales and wines is also available for guests to enjoy. The building also features a Summerhouse, where guests can browse and chat, finding inspiration for the best days out in Yorkshire, as well as using the lending library.

The whole park offers mesmeric views of the surrounding area, while also having an on-site bowling green. If you've never tried bowling, why not use this holiday as your chance to try your their hand at this popular sport? All are welcome to have a go. Those who can play to a good level and are planning to visit Maustin Park again could even become a member of the on-site bowling club.

Maustin Park is popular as a base for birdwatching holidays, and the local area is rich with a variety of different bird species. The most famous birds of all in the area are the Red Kites, which were released into the wild from a local Bird Garden in recent years. If you enjoy walking, why not take a few gentle riverside walks along the River Wharfe? Strolling by the river is a popular activity with guests and offers the perfect opportunity to unwind from your normal lifestyle by doing nothing but relaxing in this lovely location. There are also plenty of spots that can be found for fishing along the river.

Guests will also find plenty of places to visit and see close to the park. Other that Wetherby, the famous spa town of Harrogate is very popular, and combines the old and the new to terrific effect. The town has independent, quaint shops, coffee houses, and cafés, as well as a collection of modern chain stores and guests’ favourite brands. If you'd like to visit a larger city it is well worth taking the short drive into Leeds for a great day out. If you're interested in history and heritage you will find plenty of activities and attractions to visit in York.
