I was part of the entertainment show team during 2007 & 2008 & I have just read by chance some of the reviews given to the team of both those years. It saddens me to think that some owners thought we were a rubbish team despite the fact that our shows have from what i hear NEVER been beaten for quality and variety. So perhaps I can set the record straight from the teams point of view. 2008 especially became a difficult year because the ents staff were expected to work every hour God sent nd that left us drained and jaded. Nice to know the certain owners appreciated the fact we worked our behinds off when they call us RUBBISH! I know that 4 years have passed by but it still hurts to read this considering owners were so nice to our faces.

hi their just a little note to anyone thinking of going DONT, the staff were very rude and unhelpful, i went with my family and we had 4 caravans beween us they were drity the floors were BLACK (they looked like they had never been washed)3 were running alive with ants they got over everything, the kids club was a joke, the rabbit came out for all of 15 mins and that was to sing a hello song 1 in the middle then the goodbey song,he only got of the stage once in 4 days for about 5 mins. most of the entertanment that was ment to happen didnt and we were hold to leave the club house at 11 pm the worst thing was all my grankids had been saving ther little yellow tokens to get a prize at the end of the holiday only to be told that half the tokens they had cant be used, because they got them from the arcade that IS on the stite was not part of the parks holiday ther were no sign saying this and the kids cryed when they couldnt get the prize they had saved so hard for, none of the staff were interested and were very very rude when we aksed why their were no signs saying this.their was no train to take my wife to the indoor swiming pool she is disabaled and cant walk very far so she missed out on a family trip but they only went for 30 mins because they didnt want to leave her out but i was told the water slide was broken anyway.me and my family will never go back to parks hoilday in seawick it turned out a waste of money and time

JUST TO GET THE FACTS RIGHT, MY DAUGHTER IS A OWNER ON SITE, AND WE LOVE IT THER, BUT PARK HOLIDAY'S DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR OWNER, WERE HAS THE BREAKFAST'S GONE ETC THE ONLY THING MY DAUGHTER GETS FROM THEM, IS WHEN THEY WANT SOMETHING FROM HER LIKE E-MAIL ADDRESSES AND TO RECOMMEND THEM, AND THEN WE GET A VOUCHER WHOPPI DO. WOULD NOT GIVE DOMINIC FROM THE SALES TEAM DRIPPING OF OUR NOSES, RUDE AND SMUG AND NEEDS A GOOD HAIR CUT!!!!!

I have just moved my caravan to the Seawick site after what I can only describe as a bad experience at my previous site.

Having read some of the reviews, I felt I had to respond and give a balanced appraisal.

So far, my experiences of dealing with the sales team at the park have been nothing less than excellent. They are friendly, helpful, professional and I can only say good things about them. They made the transfer so simple and stress-free, I just can't imagine moving my caravan ever again! Dominic is a delight to deal with, Denise is the font of all knowledge relating to owners needs, and Christine will put a smile on your face no-matter what! As far as security goes, I've had a great experience with the reception staff and security staff too. I feel very re-assured that my caravan is safe in their hands.

All in all, I have had nothing but positive experiences, and they even know my name when I walk through the door! If I had to find one single fault, it would be the silly generic letters from the HQ in Hastings that 'I know' do not apply to me. As for the roads and paving areas looking a bit run down, and the night lighting, yes, they could do with some work it's true, but the atmosphere of the place is undeniably better than anywhere else I have been, and the supposedly 'top notch' site I was at before, left me feeling as cold and as limp as their unfriendly, unhelpful, miserable staff, so SEAWICK, you get 5 stars from me.

Have recently become an owner at seawick approx 1 month. Have not been impressed with the site. Lighting at night very poor and road ways and paths need repairing urgently. None of cash machines on site work so how they manage during high season is beyond me! They obviously dont want our money. I have had lights from my garden stolen so now have to bring everything in at night. It is a shame because all other owners we have met have been very nice people.

hi, ive been going to seawick for a long time, since i was about 6 yrs old and im in my 30's now,i remember when the pool was outside.we've seen loads of changes some not for the best but im pleased to say the change now is for the best.although it would be nice to see the emperors bar a little brighter.we only rent but do so anything upto 7 times a year, mainly long weekends etc and do a 1 weeker, my children love it here they are 3 and 6,we always have tears the morning of going home.my mum and myself dont like leaving either. The caravans are always clean and we always find the reception staff very friendly and helpful. The entertainment staff the same,Emma is my little girls favourate,it was nice to see her back this year.We will be back very soon and we cant wait.

I have visited seawick many times but have noticed this site has gone comepletly down hill in the last few years the staff are rude unhelpfull and couldn't care less if you've got a complaint the caravan i stayed in looked like it had never been cleaned the carpets were filthy the mat at the door i had to throw out cos it was rancid the work surfaces were dirty as well as all pots and pans there was a dead blue bottle in one of the kids beds but thats not the worst of it a knife fell from the material attached to one of the cupboards right above where a childs head would be is this the site you wanna bring your kids to I think not its a shame cos its a pleasant area its just this caravan site that should be avoided!

Good Morning

I note your comments, concerning Seawick Holiday Park.

My name is Grant, and I am the General Manager here at Seawick and was concerned to read the posting from vidigav.

As you mention you are currently an Owner here at Seawick, I would be happy to meet with you and discuss your concerns with our park.

I am sure that you would understand that a number of redevelopment projects around the park have commenced during the closed season, and I remain confident that these projects will be completed prior to the Easter holidays in March.

Once again, please feel free to contact me in order that I can resolve your concerns.

Been an owner on this site now for 4 years. The reviews are correct the site does look like a bomb has hit it. Each owner has to pay near on £3K and well for what to have had you fences removed. I always try to give peple the benefit of the doubt and look towards the bigger picture but there is two weeks to go before the park opens. Will the club house be revamped? Will the have got d of the rubish entertainment staff the had last year? Will there be lighting and even surfaces arond the caravans or will it just be the big rip off it was last year?

Only tme will tell but I hope I am proven wrong and will be the first to post and apologise on tis site.

If you thinkingof buying a van wait a few months, speak to the woners not to the sales staff and by the way the sales maanger who someone complained about in a previous comment 'only seemed interested in selling me plastic decking' - 3 guesses what her husband does for a living!

This is a lovely park, we were looking at buying a caravan in the clacton area looked round a few of the parks, St Osyth Beach over the road is an amazing park, but we decided on Seawick as there was more to do for the kids.

Used to come here as a youngster and was always a favorite for a good family holiday so decided to by my own holiday home here... BUT it seems since the new takeover by Park Holidays it is has changed for the worse, staff seem stressed and unhelpful the site is like a bomb has hit it. The new area manager and park manager are no use at all, don't expect any face to face contact or even a returned telephone call when you need to talk to them. The scouse saleswoman who over saw the sale promised the earth but when it came to it couldn't back up her promises, the odd jobs that needed doing in the van (a few repairs and missing door handles) took weeks to do. all she wanted to do was flog me decking for several thousand pounds...(in fact it was incredibly expensive) first things first, a drain that didn't block every few weeks would be good start. i am now making provisions to sell my van QUICK. a shame as i only have had it a few months but this place i once loved is now my worse nightmare! holiday makers and potential holiday home owners beware!!!!!
