Butlins Skegness is one of the United Kingdom’s most famous family holiday parks. It is located in the popular seaside town, from which it takes its name, in Lincolnshire on the east coast of England. The Butlins resort is open all year round, and offers a range of accommodation options for families. The main site features holiday apartments and hotel-style rooms. Static holiday caravans for hire are also available, and if you and your whole family would like to return to Butlins Skegness time and again, there are often new and used caravans for sale on the site itself.
There is plenty to do for the whole family on-site at Butlins Skegness, with the Splash Waterworld and the collection of outdoor sports courts always popular with guests of all ages. The Splash complex is ideal whether you are looking to enjoy a serious swim or a playful splash around, while there is also plenty of space at the water’s edge for those simply wanting to relax and not enter the water. The swimming pool complex also has a café area serving great refreshments for the whole family.
The outdoor sports courts at the site are the venue for organised competitions and offers at Butlins, including football coaching. If you prefer to play a more relaxing competitive sport, you can enjoy a challenging round of adventure golf.
The site is famous for its traditional fairground, which has popular rides such as dodgems as well as more modern rides and other fun attractions, including go-karts.
Numerous food and drink outlets are found on-site at Butlins Skegness, from traditional pubs serving delicious pub foods to family themed restaurants with a menu choice for everyone. Try the new Firehouse, a chicken-themed barn restaurant specialising in flame-cooked chicken but also offering vegetarian options, frozen yogurt and family games. A number of outlets in the holiday park do offer guests a range of reasonably priced food by offering buffet options and fully customisable meals. Not to be missed, here on the Lincolnshire coast, is a fish-and-chip supper, from Butlins' Rock and Sole.
When night falls at Butlins Skegness there is always entertainment on offer, whether it is all the fun of a show put on by the Butlins entertainment team or a guest appearance by a well-known signing or dancing group. You'll be able to dance the nights away, throughout your holiday.
As well as being able to enjoy all of the wonderful activities offered at the park, guests will find the many attractions of Skegness itself within easy reach. You can take a short walk to the clean and safe beaches of Skegness, which are perfect for paddling, swimming, and much more. There's a path from the site that leads right onto the town’s famous promenade. And as if there wasn’t enough at Butlins to keep families entertained for the whole holiday, on top of that there's the well known Fantasy Island resort in town, which is another exciting place for families to spend a day.

I have stayed at Butlins Skegness a few times now for family holidays and 80s, 90s weekends I stay in some of the lovely caravans very impressed, very clean and tidy passes and stuff was all sorted before we arrived and we had an excellent time. Great family entertainment and the theme weekends are fantastic.

Excellent price. £160.00 for 4 nights during the school summer holidays and full use of all butlins facilities and entertainment. We had been quoted £550.00 for the same period with half board on site.
You can arrive any time after 11.00 am. On departure you should be off pitch by 10.00 am but you are allowed to move your caravan to the non electric area for the day. Therefore you can get almost 5 full days use of the facilities.
Warden was excellent, very helpful and polite. On arrival offered us a choice of pitches on the site if we didn't want what we had been allocated. i couldn't believe the site was only a third full and even over the bank holiday weekend i would estimate a quarter of the pitches were vacant.
The downside is the shower blocks are pretty outdated and the portacabins really should be replaced. However the impression i got was Butlins want to eventually do away with tourers and replace them with owned static caravans - more income potential from sales and ground rent. It would a shame if this happened as the site offers a wonderfully cheap way for children to spend time at Butlins.
Overall a little gem, if you ignore the showers.
