Franchis is a small park in Cornwall on the beautiful Lizard Peninsula with seasonal pitches and holiday homes for sale.

This is the perfect base from which to explore the wonderful scenery of West Cornwall, whether walking the coast path, messing about on boats on the Helford River or simply shopping and eating out in St Ives, Falmouth or Porthleven.

Nearby is Poldhu Cove with a cafe right on the sandy beach where you could join in the annual Boxing Day swim or Easter duck race!

Just along the coast from Poldhu, is Gunwalloe Church Cove, a sheltered sandy cove with a beautiful church part-buried in the sand and the year-round dog-friendly Dollar Cove just along the path, both of which featured in BBC's Poldark.

The village of Mullion is a short drive away and worth a visit for its harbour, pubs, shops and the sandy beaches of Polurrian and Kynance.

Own a holiday home in Cornwall here and get away from it all for holidays as often as you like within 11 months of the year.

Poldhu Cove is the closest sandy beach, just over 2 miles away with a cafe right on the beach and open 363 days a year. From here you could join in the annual Boxing Day swim or Easter duck race!

Gunwalloe Church Cove, just along the coast from Poldhu, is a sheltered sandy cove with a beautiful church part-buried in the sand. Dollar Cove just along the path to it is dog-friendly all year. Both feature in BBC's Poldark.

Kynance Cove is one of the most picturesque and photographed beaches in Cornwall. If you're feeling energetic the walk from Mullion to here is simply stunning and you can reward yourself with a cream tea at the beachside National Trust cafe!

Mullion Cove, along with Coverack and Cadgwith is a working harbour. Walk the beautiful cliff path or just a sit on a bench and soak up the views. The most southerly point of the UK's mainland, Lizard Point is a great place to wave watch and you're almost guaranteed to see a seal or, in summer months, you might see basking sharks.

Travel just a bit further west and you'll find St Michael's Mount just off the coast of bustling Marazion. And just around the headland carved into the cliff above the blue waters of Porthcurno is the famous Minack Theatre, a must for the warmer summer evening.

As well as some great local pubs, nearby Porthleven has a number of good restaurants as well as its annual food festival and you'll be spoilt for choice in St Ives, which is just 30 minutes away.

The Helford Estuary offers a change of scene and the chance to enjoy the water without going to sea. Gardens like Trebah and Glendurgan along the shore are beautiful to visit no matter what time of year but late spring sees them at their best.

Nice park in lovely surroundings, very quiet and peaceful.

We enjoyed this park the owners seemed very friendly and the lady just loved riding the lawnmower tractor, she was never off it.

Its just off the main road down to the Lizard but its not noisy, the location is a bit out of the way but nowhere in Cornwall is that far to be honest.

If I had to gripe it would be about the toilet block. The cleaning seems to be down to guests, all the cleaning materiels are located in the block but I never saw them get used, everytime I used the shower I had to clean it thoroughly first.

The site shop never seemed to be open but there was a sign on the door saying if you needed it open to ring he doorbell on the house, I nearly did once but the family were eating so I was a bit uncomfortable getting them to open the shop, I drove down to Helston instead.

In a nutshell, a nice site but a bit the owner should take responsibility for cleanng the showers etc. Also, the toilet block was very dark as the electric lights were switched off throughout the day (to save on electricity I presume) and it was a bit unpleasant inside.

Hello there, Thank you for taking the time to put your review on the caravan site finder website. I just wanted to let you know that Franchis has now changed hands and we are the new owners. Having camped on the site ourselves we were all too aware of the cleanliness issues so have made significant improvements! The lights are still on a timer but there is a much shorter period when they are off which shouldn't cause any inconvenience. We have also stocked the shop up and it is now open 8-10am and then 5-7pm. We're hoping to turn it into a laundrette for next year and open a larger shop specialising in local produce. Anyway, I hope you'll come and see us again and enjoy some of the improvements on site! Best regards, Kate & Phil Franchis Holidays Near Mullion Cornwall Tel 01326 240301
