The site is small and friendly. It is adjacent to Berry Head Country Park and the Coastal Footpath, winding along the cliffs to the picturesque River Dart, passing Mansands and the gardens of Colyton Fishacre (N.T.). An ideal centre for exploring the whole of South West England.
It is a family site, and in the interests of peace and quiet there is no club house/ bar on the site. Brixham Rugby Club, just down the road, welcomes our guests to all of their facilities. The Brixham Indoor Swimming Pool is next to the Rugby ground.
Just along the coastal footpath is St Marys Bay, whilst access is a little awkward it is a very quiet and picturesque beach, part sand and part shingle. In the other direction is Berry Head with its bird watch Sanctuary and historic Napoleonic Forts. The light-house on the headland is the shortest but highest in England.
Although quiet, the site is just 10 minutes away from Brixham Harbour, Breakwater Beach, Shoalstone sea water Swimming Pool and Brixham Marina, an ideal location for all walking or waterborne activities. The site has all the usual facilities including showers, toilets and electric hook-ups.
Things to do - fishing from the boats in Brixham Harbour, walking along the coastal foot-path, swimming, sailing and sub-aqua diving. Places to visit - the neighbouring towns of Paignton and Torquay, both of which have theatres and the famous Paignton Zoo. Historic Totnes with its Elizabethan Day on Tuesdays and Market day on Fridays. Newton Abbot which has its Market day including a livestock market on a Wednesday. Dartmouth, with the Steam Railway which runs from Paignton, and the beautiful River Dart. A short drive inland will take you to the rugged beauty of Dartmoor.
