Clea Hall Holiday Park is a small, family run collection of owned holiday homes. In the heart of Cumbria, Clea Hall is a great place for families to enjoy a home away from home, and is open all throughout the year to ensure guests can take advantage of the location whenever they wish.

The park is set in a quiet surround, yet is only five minutes from the nearest village and 20 minutes away from the M6 motorway, which offers easy access to the rest of the north west of England and beyond. Clea Hall is a short distance north of the iconic Lake District National Park, ideal for guests that are looking to enjoy the landscape and activities on offer in the area but away from the busier tourist locations.

A number of facilities are offered at Clea Hall for the whole family to take advantage of, including a heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub, a gym, a well-stocked shop, and a library. Guests staying at Clea Hall can get fed and watered at The Tavern Bar, which serves a range of local foods and drinks.

The Lake District offers a range of attractions no matter what guests are interested in and passionate about. Naturally, the lakes of the park are popular throughout the year, with several activities offered including day-long lake cruises, with opportunities to enjoy lunch and a drink on the water, while one-way cruises followed by a walk back are also much loved. There are plenty of places to park in the Lake District, while guests can also take public transport or cycle into the region depending on what they’re planning to do.

Many guests head to the Lake District to enjoy the walking trails there, while some of England’s most famous fells also offer an intriguing challenge to many. Watersports are offered on most of the lakes, too, with sailing and canoeing typically the most popular. The lakes and the river and stream systems of the area also offer ample opportunities for paddling. Guests heading into the hills often enjoy gorge walking and even swimming where the water is deeper and currents are gentle.
Those that prefer the indoors will also find plenty of attractions in the area, including the Lakes Aquarium, Beatrix Potter’s House, Dove Cottage, and Rydal Mount.

Away from the Lake District, guests at Clea Hall will find plenty to do in the surrounding region. The Cumbrian towns of Carlisle and Penrith are great places to spend a day, while on the coast Maryport, Whitehaven, and Workington have great beaches and offer terrific views out to sea. A short drive north allows guests to encounter the Scottish Borders and Dumfries and Galloway regions, while to the south the Nidderdale and Forest of Bowland Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty are both amazing places to spend a day out with the family.

If you'd like to buy a holiday home in the Lake District, Clea Hall is a stunning location, in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the UK. Find out more about The Lake District with our sister site Practical Caravan's Travel Guide to Caravan Holidays in The Lake District.
