We stayed in one of the wooden wigwams at Belhaven Bay this past weekend and had a fantastic time!
The site is really neat and tidy and you can tell the holiday home owners really take pride as their homes and surrounding areas are kept lovely and well landscaped. The site itself was quiet when we arrived with not many tourers although a few more arrived on the Saturday and there was a nice mix of people and children milling around and enjoying the facilities. Our 3 year old loved the play parks and kept requesting we go back to them (even when it was raining - which fortunately it didn't do too often!).
The toilet blocks and shower facilities look very new and were spotless when we used them. There are plenty of accessible toilets and showers which also suit families.
The three wigwams are excellently situated by the entrance to the park with a nearby parking area specifically for the guests staying there. We were even told we could reverse the car over to the wigwam path for unloading which helped cut down on the too-and-fro!
The wigwam itself was really fresh, neat and very clean. We had a table with four chairs a nicely equipped kitchen corner with mircowave (a large selection of tasty microwave meals is available from the nearby Belhaven Fruit Farm shop!). The WC was surprisingly spacious. There was a double bed and a pull out sofa bed. Our three year old was happy on the sofa (without pulling it out) and we were able to squeeze in the provided travel cot for our 10 month old next to the table and still have room on the floor for our labrador! The outdoor area had a lovely outlook looking over a large pond where a newly enlarged family of swans lived and came to visit regularly which was very cute.
The place is ideal for dogs with an easy walk around the pond and the beach both on the doorstep. I even spotted a stoat and a baby deer when we first arrived!
We were lucky that the weather was better than forecast and we were able to make use of the outdoor area where the seating, along with the provided high chair, was ideal. We never felt the need to start a fire in the firepit that is available but this would be good for winter months when the nights draw in!
We visited Tantallon Castle and the Drift diner, although older children would love East Links Family Park and Foxlake Adventures. It's worth asking at the park reception as discounts to local activities are often available.
Overall we had a great time and we'd definitely visit again.

Really quiet and sheltered caravan park, just a stroll to the beach and a short walk to historic Dunbar. Had a great two nights, the site was well maintained and the facilities spotless. What gave this a five star was the tremendous welcome we he got from Mary. She couldnt do enough for us, we arrived with out our bedding for the double bed, we only realised on the journey, was palnning to go to a local supermarket to purchase bedding, but Mary provided as with a free loan of two lovely, freshly laundered sleeping bags.

Visited this park on 6/8/06 stayed for 2 nights and wished we had more time. The owners were very friendly as were the holiday home owners. Our electric cable for hook-up was to short to reach the electric point but this was not an issue as for a £20 deposit the owners gave us an extension for our duration and on return of the extension returned our £20. Toilet/shower block was clean and tidy with plenty hot water available. There is a duck pond on the park where kids can fish for tiddlers and the beach is about 5 minutes walk from the site. The town of Dunbar is accessible on foot and is only about a 15-20 minute stroll from the site with plenty of shops and a swimming pool etc. We really enoyed this site and at £18 a night for sheer peace and quiet with excellent service and lovely pitches we for sure will return again and again.
Well done to the owners. This site is what caravanning is all about it our opinion!!
