Sandyhills Bay is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty and its glorious beach is one of the best in the region. The park itself nestles at the foot of wooded hills and is set amongst trees in spacious open parkland.

We love Sandyhills. The peace and quiet suits us down to the ground. As we have a young family the fact it is situated so close to the sandy beach is great. Lovely views. Shop on site sells essentials. Small costcutter/post off a couple of miles away and there are lots of small places to visit locally if you have a car. No pool or bar on site but there is another site within walking distance that does, however they only have lodges to hire no tents/vans etc. The site is under new management and they were just as attentive as the other couple who ran it for about 20years.

Cracking site. Very friendly staff, personally shown your pitch. Tourers (caravans & tents) pitch on slightly sloping ground and most have electric hook up. The site is sheltered from the elements, and always kept very clean. Small shop with basic essentials.
Toilet block is not the newest but is kept spotlessly clean. Plenty of water points. The beach is no more than 50m away, but, the sea comes and goes very quickly as the beach extends for miles out into the Firth when the tide is out, so don't expect to do a lot of swimming or rock pooling. Just remember it's not a leisure park, just a pleasent quiet site. Note: check to see if they take folding campers or trailer tents, as we were told they don't even though we got on.
