A lovely quiet setting with good facilities and a warm welcome. Unfortunately the full service pitches were only accessible across grass which was waterlogged and churned with mud. The tourer caravan site needs some TLC just to give it that extra sparkle.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review of your visit to our park. Unfortunately given the appalling weather conditions and understandable difficulty some customer without four wheel drive have in these conditions, an element of damage to the front of pitches is inevitable. During the parks shut down (10th January to 1st March) the park will receive a £30,000 investment in a refurbishment to its reception, resurfacing of every pitch, renewal of all roads serving the touring park plus hard and soft landscaping.

This is a lovely park, 1000ft up and mostly surrounded by trees. The owners Lindsey and Paul keep the site immaculate. The pitches are good sizes and the site is cleverly laid out. On arrival Lindsey really made us feel welcome. The facilities are also very clean with good showers. There is a site shop, laundry with washer, tumbler, spin dryer and ironing facilities. Also a host of games including lawn darts. You need to be a keen walker or have transport as it is almost two miles to the nearest village - although saying that it is well situated for Ashbourne, Buxton and Leek. Give it a whirl if you like peace and quiet mixed with beautiful scenery. Review submitted by Eamonn Sorohan at http://wwww.sorohan.co.uk
