Commanding superb views of the surrounding hills, Eden Tree Caravan Park in Derbyshire is a small, family run campsite on the outskirts of the village of Bradwell.

Those staying in tents, motorhomes and touring caravans are all welcome to stay here, sheltered, grassy pitches on offer, all of which benefit from electric hook-ups. If you like the site so much you want to stay longer, seasonal pitches are available, too, plus Eden Tree Caravan Park incorporates a static caravan park. In terms of facilities, there is a modern, clean amenities block with toilets, basins, free hot showers and a dishwashing area. There's also a utility room, plus Calor Gas is available at this campsite.

The small but bustling village centre is a short walk from Eden Tree Caravan Park. Here you'll find shops where you can top up on your holiday and everyday essentials, as well as a number of lovely local pubs, meaning you can enjoy lunch or dinner out, whilst on holiday, without having to travel far from where you've pitched. In fact, many of the towns and villages close by, such as Hathersage, Tideswell, Grindleford and Bamford have pubs and places to enjoy a meal and/or a drink, so these and more are well worth exploring on your holidays.

Visit Derbyshire on your motorhome, camping and caravan holidays and if you pitch here at Eden Tree Caravan Park you are in the heart of the magnificent Peak District National Park. Near this campsite is Peveril Castle, a ruined early medieval castle that's now run by English Heritage and that is a 10-minute drive from this campsite.

But the spectacular natural beauty of this area is what's most likely to captivate you when you come here on your holidays. Take time to enjoy the Derbyshire Dales National Nature Reserve, which is a 20-minute drive south of this campsite, and also the Kinder Scout National Nature Reserve, which is around 40 minutes away by car.

Both these nature reserves sit within the Peak District National Park. Whether a gentle amble, an easy cycle ride, a peaceful day of river fishing or coarse fishing or something rather more energetic takes your fancy, there is plenty to keep you entertained here on your motorhome tours and your camping and caravan holidays.

Visit the Peak District to go trail walking, horse riding, off-road mountain biking, caving, fell running, rock climbing, windsurfing, swimming, sailing, canoeing, gliding, paragliding, hang gliding and more.

You could also pay a trip to Buxton, a spa town in the heart of the Peak District that's just a half hour drive from Eden Tree Caravan Park – it has the highest elevation of any market town in England. The Pavilion Gardens, Solomon's Temple, the Devonshire Dome and the Millers Dale Viaduct are all worth your time, not forgetting Poole's Cavern and Buxton Country Park. There's a Go Ape! site, if you need even more high energy action. The town is also packed with pubs, bars, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses, so there are plenty of places to relax, refresh, take a break and refuel.

Did not like a tent being put right next to my caravan, door side, so could not sit outside or put any kind of awning up, and kept awake at night with the dog barking! You will get a notice put on your caravan door if you leave your dog in caravan for even a short time!

We stayed at Eden Tree in July 2008 and were impressed from the beginning, from the gentleman who helped us park the van to the lady booking us in. It is a very friendly site. not large but nice. It also has a static caravan field as well which is where the toilet facilities are. These are exceptionally clean and well looked after. The pot washing area is inside as well which is good and looks out on the lovely views of Derbyshire. The area of Bradwell is quiet with a pub just off site which although shut for renovation at present will be very welcome when open. You are only 10 mins from Castleton. We would recommend this site to anyone.
