Located on eastern side of Minster, Isle of Sheppey. Bell Farm Lane is a turning off Plough road.Step off Golden Leas and you’ve got Sheppey’s peaceful meadows and waterways at your feet. There’s not one but two nature reserves! For that at-one-with-nature, secluded wilderness sort of feel, make time for a day trip to both Swale National Nature Reserve and Elmley National Nature Reserve.
Whether you prefer to explore on foot or on two wheels, there’s no shortage of idyllic, wildlife-filled walking trails, cycle paths and bridleways. For a more coast-focused adventure, head to our neighbouring beach, Minster Leas, or even to Leysdown and its gorgeous Blue Flag beach, whose sands and town provide the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of relaxation.
There’s also so much history on Sheppey. Recognised as the birthplace of British aviation, be sure to visit Eastchurch Aviation Museum and the volunteer-run Blue Town Heritage Centre — a fascinating insight into the history of maritime Sheppey.
Here are a few of the places which are definitely worth a visit:
National Nature Reserves - Swale and Elmley provide endless opportunity for exploration, proof that breath-taking beauty is right on our doorstep.
Barton’s Point Costal Park – Attractive lake and park with walking trails, cycle paths and bridle ways. The lake is available for fishing and a host of water sport activities.
Eastchurch Aviation Museum - The Isle of Sheppey’s very own celebration of its proud history of aviation pioneering, it’s just 5 minutes by car from or an hour on foot.
Minster Abbey Gatehouse Museum - Just 20 minutes’ walk up the road is this 1,000-year-old, grade I-listed building, right next to the Minster Abbey. A delightful little slice of local heritage and history, offering year-round activities for the little ones too.
Bredgar & Wormshill Railway - One for fans of locomotives and stunning Kent countryside! Bredgar & Wormshill Railway is just 25 minutes’ drive from our park; a live steam railway line, delightfully tucked away in woodland.
Leysdown - A stunning seaside resort with its own Blue Flag beach, seaside shop and amusements, home to Leysdown Amusement Park, Kent’s largest amusement arcade including a shooting gallery, 4D simulator and bowling alley. This little gem is only a 10-minute drive or short bus journey down the road. Sheppey at its finest.
Curly’s Farm - Set in 10 acres of gorgeous Kent countryside, this lovely local farm gives the little ones the opportunity to learn more about farming and even develop their livestock handling skills. Just a five-mile drive down the road.
Creed Outdoor Centre - Just off Sheppey you’ve got the opportunity to try your hand at archery, high ropes and climbing.
Isle of Harty trail - Walk or cycle your way through Kent countryside past charming cottages, churches and cosy pubs. This flat, circular route is ideal for a family day out.
Bayford Meadows Kart Circuit - Take the quarter-hour car drive and pull on your helmet for some adrenaline-fuelled karting around this outdoor, floodlit kart circuit.
RSPB Capel Fleet Raptor Viewpoint - This ideal vantage point offers a commanding view across the sweeping farmland. The perfect place to watch a multitude of different raptors hunting over the fields.
Golden Leas & Hollybush Farm, were taken over by Lovat Parks in April 2018.

We has been guests of owners of Golden Leas for the last couple of years and are proud owners of our own van this year. We think Golden Leas is FANTASTIC.
It is such a wonderfully relaxed site. Kids and dogs are welcome and all site staff are very friendly and willing to help.

Golden Leas Holiday Park and Hollybush Farm, Isle of Sheppey, Kent

No clubhouse on this site or kids play area, but who wants a clubhouse or loads of screaming kids. The views (all of them are fab), the relaxed atmosphere of Hollybush Farm is refreshing, after a week-end break you feel total relaxed and ready to face another weeks work nowing that in 5 days time you shall return to Hollybush Farm.
Martin, Stewart and Terry are all very helpful sorting out any problerms or concern you may have without any fuss or delay, I must also mention there wives who are also help full and Molly Stewarts dog pays you a visit now an again.
Should you wish to use a club Houes or the swimming pool, a short walk away (approx 10 mins) is the other site owned by Martin "Golden Leas", where you can find a club House, swimming pool, shop, laundry etc.
In summing up I would say that for overall value it a good deal.
