Briarfields Motel & Touring Park is an attractive campsite near Cheltenham and Gloucester. This park is well laid out and feels Continental. The pitches all have hardstandings for motorhomes and caravans, with gravel for awnings, and grass. There are also some large pitches available for motorhomes up to 40ft long.

The heated facilities are spotless and there are separate disabled facilities. You'll also find a well-equipped laundry room and indoor and outdoor washing-up areas, good digital TV signal and free wi-fi. Dogs are welcome. If you are driving a campervan, RV or motorhome you will be pleased to discover that the drive-over motorhome service point is well positioned and easy to use when you need to empty that grey water tank. There's a security barrier to the touring park area and you'll need to leave a refundable £10 deposit for the barrier key fob. Reception closes at 6pm, but there is a number you can ring if you arrive between 6pm and 9pm.

In the reception area at Briarfields you will find some useful leaflets to make sure that you don't miss out on the local tourist attractions.

The site is two minutes' drive from the M5, with easy access, and a bus stops right outside the gates to take you to Cheltenham and Gloucester, with regular services running right into the evenings. Buses also go to Oxford.

There is some road noise, but landscaping, mature trees and bushes make Briarfields feel relaxing and peaceful.

Perhaps you've chosen to visit Cheltenham to go shopping in the selection of beautiful boutiques, enjoy the fine architecture and eat delicious food in the little cafés, pubs and restaurants that abound in the town. Or perhaps you enjoy following horse racing, in which case you'll love Cheltenham Racecourse, which is the place to see the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

This is a wealthy town where you can see beautiful antiques and fine art. Visit Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum to see fine furniture, textiles, ceramics, paintings and silver by William Morris and his contemporaries in the Arts and Crafts Movement.

Stroll through Pitville Park in Cheltenham and enjoy the lakes, pump room and tearoom. Visit the recently refurbished Cheltenham Everyman Theatre to see a show. Or if you're a fan of classical music, you could pop into the elegant Regency house where composer Gustav Holst was born in 1874 and find out more about the great British composer who wrote The Planets.

As well as Cheltenham, Briarfields Motel & Touring Park is near Gloucester, too. Visit Gloucester Cathedral, which is a medieval wonder and was used as a location in several Harry Potter films. If you prefer crumbly romantic ruins, head to Great Witcombe Roman Villa or St Oswald's Priory, founded by Saxon King Alfred the Great's daughter.

Gloucester also a Folk Museum, the Gloucester Antiques Centre and the popular Three Choirs Vineyard to visit. If you're a fan of canal and riverboat history, head to Gloucester Docks for the Waterways Museum. Near here, Gloucester Quays offers a lot of opportunities for retail therapy and leisure activities.

Cheltenham also known as Cheltenham Spa, is a large spa town and borough in Gloucestershire, England, located on the edge of the Cotswolds.

Cheltenham is the home of the flagship race of British steeplechase horse racing. The Gold Cup is the main event of the Cheltenham Festival, held every March.
