As well as fishing in the River Conwy, there is much to do in the surrounding area. Guests who would like to explore the north coast of Wales can take a drive along the coast road, all the way to the border with England and beyond, should they wish to. Most of the towns and villages on the coast offer everything expected of seaside resorts, with theme parks, amusements, fish and chip takeaways and more, as well as safe, sandy beaches where you can enjoy a range of family friendly activities.

The coast road will also introduce guests to some amazing golf courses and further locations for fishing, while inland many guests enjoy discovering and exploring the charming market towns and villages in North Wales.

For a wonderful day out, it is well worth following the coast road to the west, where the road bridge to the Isle of Anglesey awaits. There are many great places – and beaches – to explore there. Visit Bangor, on the crossing and the town of Holyhead, with its busy ferry port being the gateway to Ireland. If you fancy an added adventure during your holiday, why not take a fast ferry across to Dublin from Holyhead and spend a day in Ireland’s capital, with its Guinness Brewery factory tours, lively pubs and cafés, shops and cultural attractions.

Wern Farm Caravan Park has the Snowdonia National Park right on its doorstep, of course, so it is unsurprising that most guests take advantage of the opportunity to explore and experience the area in full. While the park is close to miles of moorland and woodland that tourists can explore at their leisure, there are also plenty of organised activities that take place across Snowdonia. These include climbing and abseiling, mountaineering, guided walking, cycling, and pony trekking.

If you are feeling energetic you really should consider walking up Mount Snowdon, the highest peak. If you prefer, for most of the year, you can take the Snowdon mountain railway train from Llanberis and enjoy refreshments in a café close to the summit. Trains run daily from May to the start of November, whenever the weather permits. Trains do run from mid-March, but don't go all the way up the mountain in winter, terminating at Clogwyn.

A drive to the south introduces the west coast of Wales, where bucket-and-spade seaside holiday destinations such as Aberystwyth and Cardigan await. Both towns are filled with shops and restaurants as well as having tourist attractions that don’t involve the beach, though the activities offered on the golden sands are definitely the biggest attraction. Try surfing, jet skiing, and many more sporting activities from the west coast of Wales.

Just had two nights on this wonderful site. Its our third visit this year. Toilets and showers are immaculate, well maintained gardens and very friendly owners. On site also are two pods with a hot tub if required, fire pit/bbq , smart tv and all fully equipped. We had a look inside....wow. For those that prefer there is also a cottage available. All of this and not overlooked. A short drive to Conwy,Llandudno or Rhos on Sea. It's a hidden gem of a place.
