Lake Ullswater is only 5 miles away and the nearest town is the traditional maket town of Keswick sitting on the shores of Derwentwater.
the popular resorts of Grasmere, Ambleside and Windermere are each within a short scenic drive.
We are surrounded by excellent walking country for all abilities from walking along lake shores to long hikes on the fell tops. There are many other activities available in the area such as fishing, pony trekking, activity centres, steamer cruises, golf...the list is endless!
