If you're looking for campsites in Wales for your motorhome and caravan holidays, why not try Stone Pitt Holiday Park. FREE WIFI
This family run park, set in nine acres, has 36 hardstanding pitches, and welcomes guests in touring caravans, motorhomes and trailer tents, however tents are not permitted. Every pitch has an electric hook-up (either 10A or 16A) and grey water waste disposal. Drainage tubes are also available to get grey waste from your caravan or motorhome into the drain without emptying waste water containers.
Secure, year-round caravan storage is also offered here – and they'll pitch your caravan for you, so it's ready and waiting for you when you arrive.
If you've not got your own accommodation, there are also two self catering cottages at Stone Pitt. Each holiday cottage sleeps four, in a double room and a twin room, plus there's a shower room, a well equipped kitchen and a large decking area which leads out to a shared garden. Well behaved pets are allowed in these holiday cottages in Wales.
There are also 28 static, privately owned caravans on site.
Facilities at Stone Pitt Holiday Park include a toilet and shower block with access for disabled guests, a place to do your washing up, a laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers, an ice pack freezing service, a children's play area and Wi-Fi. This is also a dog friendly campsite, but owners must keep their dogs on a lead, keep them under control and clean up after them – and there's a dog walking area on site. And for your peace of mind, there's 24-hour CCTV and a key fob security system.
If you're spending your motorhome and caravan holidays in Pembrokeshire and are pitched at Stone Pitt, you'll get a warm welcome from Claire Morris and her friendly, helpful team – they know a lot about the local area, so can give you plenty of top tips. This campsite is in the village of Begelly. If you fancy a night off cooking, why not head to the Begelly Arms, about a 15-minute walk – or two-minute drive – from site. There's also a Co-op in the village, which is handy for topping up your holiday supplies.
Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, which is one of the top tourist attractions in Wales and is less than a mile from Stone Pitt Holiday Park – it is a fantastic day out for the whole family.
This caravan site is about a 15-minute drive from the well known seaside town of Tenby. Near here you'll find plenty more things to do on your holidays in Wales, such as Manor House Wild Animal Park which is a 10-minute drive from Stone Pitt Holiday Park, and Tenby's Dinosaur Park which is around a quarter of an hour from this site by car.
Many of the beaches for which south Wales is famous are also easily accessible from this campsite. Of course there's Tenby, but in 10 minutes you could also be at Saundersfoot Beach (and harbour), while Pendine Sands is about a half hour drive from this campsite.
If you're holidaying in Pembrokeshire, why not visit Pembroke itself. Take time to enjoy the medieval castle, Lamphey Bishop's Palace and maybe enjoy a meal out, all within about 20 minutes of Stone Pitt Holiday Park.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is also well worth exploring if you're spending time in this south west corner of Wales. It's a diverse, magnificent region, full of natural beauty and fun things to do, from walking, cycling, picnicking and rock pooling, to surfing, climbing, diving, caving, kayaking, rowing and much more.
