Millness Hill Holiday Park is a beautiful holiday retreat found in Cumbria, a short distance from the southern region of the Lake District National Park. The park offers holiday lodges and static caravans for hire and for sale.
All of the accommodation found at Millness Hill Holiday Park is modern and well maintained, ensuring guests enjoy a comfortable stay at the park.
The park overlooks local fells and countryside, and many of the static caravans and lodges for hire or for sale at Millness Hill Holiday Park offer you the joy of waking up top beautiful views through your windows each morning.
The southern region of the Lake District National Park, despite the popularity of the region, is widely regarded as undiscovered by most tourists, because the central and northern lakes and villages tend to be the most popular locations for visitors. This means that guests staying at Millness Hill Holiday Park can enjoy incredible walking and the sights of the Lake District without it being too busy.
This holiday park is also a short drive away from the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The region is rich with wildlife and is perfect for guests preferring a relaxing meander through the countryside and woodland. The coastal region of Arnside and Silverdale is beautiful, too, with the views across the River Kent's estuary, towards the village of Grange-over-Sands, being especially lovely to behold.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is found in the coastal village of Silverdale, and is one of the best such centres in this corner of the United Kingdom. It is a fun day out for everyone as well as offering a number of learning experiences, including interactive displays and exhibits. One of the best features of the Oasis is the Tropical Hall area where guests can walk freely among the insects, butterflies, birds, and bats that are kept at the site. A range of reptiles and lizards also call the Tropical Hall home, but fortunately are kept in a separate, secure area! Outdoors there are meerkats, monkeys, and various other animals to see.
A short drive to the north of the park will take guests to visit Kendal. Kendal is a popular Cumbrian market town that attracts tourists from across the United Kingdom, primarily owing to its quirky limestone architecture and the cultural and commercial heritage of the place. Today, Kendal has a wonderful collection of shops, with everything from hiking and camping equipment to quirky gifts that you can buy and take home as gifts and holiday souvenirs from the Lake District. There is also a number of museums and art galleries to visit in town, while there is also a leisure centre, parks, and plenty of open spaces for enjoying ball games and other activities.
Outdoor activities abound in the Lake District itself, but it's also possible to explore a little further and drive to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, which is only a short drive to the east. This region of the Dales is well known for its extreme sports activities, with climbing, abseiling, gorge walking, and clay pigeon shooting all on offer. To the south, the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a haven for wildlife and has some amazing golf courses that are open to the public.
Millness Hill Holiday Park is a wonderful place to hire holiday caravans and holiday lodges – or indeed buy holiday homes – so that you can enjoy family holidays in the Lake District, exploring the natural beauty and wonder of Silverdale, Arnside, Morecambe and the southern Lakes of Cumbria.
