Bath Chew Valley is a hugely popular, adults-only campsite in Somerset, that the owners describe as being “based on a garden theme, with pitches set amongst lawns, trees and flower beds”. There are also sculptures dotted around, marking the divisions between pitches, which is a nice touch.

So much thought has gone into the running of Bath Chew Valley: the pitches are large and well landscaped, there are luxury, heated washrooms, free ironing and freezer facilities, a lending library, on-site Wi-Fi and a free to use computer, a motorhome waste-disposal point, a recycling point, a conservation area, a dog-walking area … the list goes on and on! There is even a car available for hire if you want to leave your motorhome on site and go exploring. In addition, the site owners will put your caravan on your pitch for you on arrival.
Bath Chew Valley is a very quiet, pretty and peaceful campsite. It is open all year round and has 45 pitches, all of which are hardstanding and all of which have electric hook-ups, and it is good to know that late arrivals can be accommodated, too. All cars must be kept in the well lit car park, which helps ensure that the site looks neat and tidy. There is also 24-hour CCTV for peace of mind, while an electric barrier at the site’s entrance provides an extra level of security.
Tents, motorhomes and caravans are all accommodated at Bath Chew Valley, and seasonal pitches are also available.

Take a walk from Bath Chew Valley campsite and in a few minutes you will find yourself in the village of Bishop Sutton, with a small but well stocked shop that’s handy for topping up your supplies, and there’s also a pub. In fact, the campsite’s owners boast that there are 10 pubs serving great food within 10 minutes of the site!
