Not very impressed, all nice and clean, however we did feel like we were being constantly watched to see when we would fall fowl of the many rules. I was told in no uncertain terms that my dog must be on a lead at ALL times, or we would be ejected from the site. It was however perfectly acceptable for there 12+15 chickens to wander were they liked defecating at leisure, which included in the car and right inside the caravan.

Apparently there should be quiet after 10pm, this was in no way controlled, a camper van very close to us did manage to party and then wash up noisily at the sinks right up to 1am. The Wardens at the time were entertaining there own guests!!

Not what I would expect for £30 per night for a family. I would recommend a nice quiet CL and would not stay on this site again.

Our second year back at this campsite and it was as good as our first visit. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The pitches on the gently sloped main field are very generous and well kept. The two toilet blocks were always clean but the small number of facilities struggled to cope with the number of people at the site during the school holidays. Having said that I don’t know of any site that would have been any different during a high season week. The shop supplied the essentials along with fishing tackle for use in the lakes. There is a generous kids area which has a ball playing field and play park. The owners tell me that the construction of a new building adjacent to the current shop will be the new shop and tea rooms although I’m not sure when it will be opened. There are plenty of areas to walk the dog from a designated off the lead area on site to my favourite, a 15 minute stroll across the fields to Bletchingdon and The Blacks Head pub. My kids and dog were welcome inside and the beer is good. The pub opened early in the morning for breakfasts and had a reasonable supply of newspapers for sale. Overall a very nice site set close to Oxford which is ideal for those wet days and I look forward to camping there again.
