Severn Gorge Park is a beautiful holiday park found in 16 acres of nicely landscaped grounds, close to the popular Shropshire town of Telford. The park is strictly adults only, and offers hardstanding pitches for motorhomes and touring caravans as well as having a number of luxurious holiday cottages for sale.

All of the pitches for motorhomes and touring caravans at Severn Gorge Park are fully serviced, with electric, water and drainage hook-ups. There is also an amenities block with free hot showers, plus basins and toilets.

The pitches as well as the holiday cottages at the park are all thoughtfully spaced from each other, ensuring guests can enjoy a degree of privacy during their stay and truly feel as if they are in a cosy home away from home. Guests that are retired or semi-retired are able to use the park as their residence throughout the year. The homes have driveways, garages and their own garden area. This is also a pet friendly park.

The area around Severn Gorge Park has a number of towns and villages worth visiting, but also has plenty of countryside and open spaces for leisurely strolls and walking the dog. Visit Shropshire on your motorhome and caravan holidays if you love walking, as there are plenty of opportunities.

Guests wanting to explore the local area without taking their car can use the excellent public transport services available here – there is a bus stop right outside the park's entrance.

Those looking for popular attractions will find the UNESCO World Heritage Ironbridge Gorge, which is a great place for spending a few hours. It is only about a 10-minute drive from this park. There is also Blists Hill Victorian Town nearby. This is an open air museum, and it is one of 10 museums operated by the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust.

Severn Gorge Park is not far from the English/Welsh border, so you've a great variety of places to visit and things to do. About 40 or 50 minutes away is Birmingham, a buzzing destination that's great for shopping, or you could go to the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, indulge your sweet tooth at Cadbury World or head to the National Sea Life Centre.

Or perhaps you'd rather visit Shrewsbury. From this park you can be there in just 40 minutes. It is the county town of Shropshire and there's famous Shrewsbury Abbey as well as Haughmond Abbey Ruins and Shrewsbury Castle to see.

Closer to the Welsh border and under an hour from this park is Oswestry. Head to the market or enjoy a drink in one of the many cafes – and as it sits at the junction of the A5, the A483 and the A495, it is easy to get from and to.

Or to really get away from it all, head out into the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It covers a quarter of the county and is super for walking as well as cycling and mountain biking – if you've not got your own bike, you can hire one.
