Enjoy a self-catering holiday in Norfolk at a park perched on cliffs overlooking the ocean. The pet-friendly, family-run Castaways Holiday Park is two minutes from the beach and the perfect base for a holiday exploring the charming cities and natural delights of Norfolk.

Castaways Holiday Park lies on the edge of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The landscape here is one of coastal marshes that teem with wildlife, rows of towering dunes, and mile upon mile of soft golden sands.

The sleepy waterways of the Norfolk Broads National Park are a short journey away, as is historic Norwich. Traditional seaside excitement can be enjoyed along the coast at Cromer and Great Yarmouth.

The park offers spacious pine lodges and a range of holiday caravans. All accommodation is fitted with a cooker, grill, fridge, microwave, kettle, and Freeview TV – everything you need for a comfortable self-catering getaway.

After a long day of holiday fun, you can unwind with a refreshing drink in the onsite bar. Castaways hosts live music, quizzes, bingo and karaoke during the summer. If you fancy a workout, you can go for one in the onsite gym. For little ones, there’s a play park, and for older kids, there’s an arcade. During school holidays you’ll find a full program of family entertainment at the clubhouse. Stock up on food and essentials at the onsite shop.

Your dog is welcome to holiday with you and is bound to love the nearby dog-walking area.

Castaways Holiday Park runs special offers for couples and during the school holidays.

Dirty caravan - rude staff - rude manageress!
Unhelpful called us liars when we told them the caravan was dirty! Was told her kettle at home was dirtier than the one in the caravan when we asked for it to be changed. ( must live in a pig sty ) Dog hairs in the carpets, shower dirty - utensils dirty and pubic hair on the toilet cistern. Hole in the wall.
Manageress is very confrontational and couldn’t wait to call Hoseasons to ask us to leave, as she’d had a bad day and wouldn’t clean the caravan.
Said we still wouldn’t be happy if she cleaned it. We said it should have been cleaned for our arrival.
Smell of gas when entering and leaving the caravan, was told all checks had been carried out. When we told her that her colleague could smell it we were told she couldn’t and called us liars again.
We certainly didn’t travel 4.5 hours to find an unclean caravan and asked to leave!
Looking at other reviews this seems to be a reoccurring event for this holiday park!
Avoid at all costs. Spend your money wisely and find a better holiday park!
Strange how all the reviews on there site are 5*
Look at trust pilot - visit England - Hoseasons.

Have just returned from a short break at Castaways and can honestly say it's a lovely, family run park. The accommodation is outstanding. As a family that travels with a dog, we're used to staying in older caravans. Not the case with Castaways. Our first thought was that they'd made a mistake and put us in the wrong caravan. Simply put it is the nicest caravan we've ever stayed in! Very clean, tidy, well equipped and plush! Anna and Richard are both lovely, friendly people who are always on hand to help. Being a small site means peace and quiet and the views of the sea are stunning. The beach is gorgeously sandy which means lots of long walks with the dog and family in the evening. Castaways makes a perfect base to explore Norfolk and the seaside towns of Great Yarmouth,Hemsby and Cromer are all within an easy distance. Yes there is a gasworks station next door but it really doesn't interfere. You won't really notice it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castaways. If you're looking for a smaller, quieter, dog friendly park then this really is the place for you

Just returned home from a lovely weekend at this caravan park. Took my 2 boys 8 and 11 and our dog. All 3 had a great time. The dog because he had a beach to run on right on the doorstep and he was allowed in the club house and the kids especially my youngest son as he won some easter eggs. The entertainment for the children was lots of fun and Anna provided it all brilliantly. The hosts Richard and Anna couldnt have made us feel more welcome. We cant wait to go back. This really is a gem of a caravan park.

This was our 4th year returning to castaways,as a couple with a dog. The sea view caravan was first class, gas centrally heated and double glazed, clean and comfortable and dogs welcome in these vans which is quite unusual and why we keep returning. The steps down to the beach allow lovely sandy beach walks with the dog, without having to drive from the site. There are also lovely woodland walks only 5 minutes drive away. Don't be put off by the gas terminal, you won't notice it!! We will be returning again next year. Thank you for yet another lovely holiday.

Thoroughly pleasant stay. Nice quiet caravan site, and the family run setting makes for a more tranquil atmosphere. The location to beach is fantastic and the beach itself is a dream with miles of 'proper' sandy beach for children and dogs alike to enjoy.
Lodges have a spacious dining / living area and there are plenty of good amenities near by, local shop, Chinese restauranr, chip shop.
Don't be put off by the gas terminal, the location and views to sea are so good that you forget it's there.

Just returned from a few days spent at Castaways Caravan Park. This is a very Dog friendly Park, this means that my two little dogs Molly & Darcie were able to join in on all the fun in the evenings in the lovely cosy bar and enjoy the great entertainment laid on by the very talented and friendly staff. The Park itself is very clean and tidy with great access to the wonderful beach, most of which dogs are allowed on and you can literally walk for miles along the very sandy beach (just ask my aching limbs!!) As a relaxing holiday this is a great place to stay and I would definitely consider returning in the future

Just took a short break (4 nights) at Castaways. The party was made up of 2 adults, 1 adult with disabilities, and 1 excitable Beagle. Not having been this way before, we selected this site because it had a fully equipped large spacious Lodge with a ramp and a wet room. The glorious sandy beach is accessible from the park down some steps. Though it is much easier and safer to use the long concrete ramp in the field next door. Getting down to the beach in a wheelchair is possible but you need at least two fit people to assist with this. When down on the beach the view is blocked by barriers to prevent erosion to the cliff face. Using the steps provided you can climb up and over the barrier to give you a massive, safe unspoilt, sandy runaround area for children and dogs. The view from the cliff top is wonderful. You forget that the park is situated next to the Bacton Gas Terminal as the area is so quiet and peaceful - Not a tourist trap. The site is small, and everyone is so friendly and helpful They welcome dogs, as does many of the local establishments in Norfolk. The dog had a wonderful holiday, and therefore allowed us a relaxing, and enjoyable break. Will definitely return again, and as the site is open all year round to cater for walkers - an Autumn visit should be good. Would definitely recommend it as a space to chill, and as a good base to travel out and explore Norfolk.

The first time we arrived at Castaways my husband saw the gas terminal & said ' Where on earth have you brought us to??' That was 10 years and about 21 visits ago. (We don't even notice the terminal's there). The place has certainly worked it's magic on us & both we & the dog think it's just perfect. A lovely friendly welcome, clean & tidy caravan & site, beautiful beaches & countryside - so relaxing. We can't wait to return every time we leave.

Second visit to castaways, love the place. Very dog friendly, amazing views. Easy access to the best dog friendly beach in the uk. Perfect position in the loveliest village in Norfolk. Very clean and functional caravans and park and helpful, polite owners and staff. Will defiantly be visiting again.

Perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. Great sandy beaches that go on as far as the eye can see and totally unspoilt.
Highly recommend taking dogs as they are very well catered for as great walks locally.
Will definately book some more "chill out" time there again in the future as the views of the sea from the caravans are amazing.

What a wonderful piece of heaven...Wonderful friendly people and a wonderful lodge. Beautiful quiet beaches and dog friendly...Couldn't ask for anything more.
Good entertainment in the evenings and I almost don't want to tell anyone..just so I can keep it to myself...but that wouldn't be fair!

The park has caravans, flats and lodges but isn't too big. Even with a full park, it was still quiet and you didn't bump into lots of people.
I took my dogs, who were welcome in the bar, which made the evenings more enjoyable as it's their holiday too!
Good entertainment in the evenings and again, not over crowded.
As for the beach, it was a dog walkers paradise...spent many hours down there every day and hardly saw other people.
Nice clean sandy beach and you could walk for hours.
A good shop on site and the friendliest staff you could ever meet.

I sent 5 days there in May in a Caravan with my dog and on this occasion I spent 6 days in a lodge with family and 2 dogs.....don't think I will be going any where else in future...I definately will be going back to Castaways....Keep doing what you're doing Castaways!

We booked a Lodge at Castaways through Hoseasons for ourselves and our three foster children. The park is small by prtesent day standards but that does not detract from the fact that it provides an excellent holiday.
The staff are extremely friendly and work hard to ensure their guests have a great holiday. The Lodge was excellent, comfortable and well equipped. The club house opened arounf 6.30 every night so does not attract those who wish to spend their whole day drinking. Entertainment, though 'homespun' on most nights was good and was certainly enjoyed by us and the children. A few steps take you down to a fantastic beach which even in the last week in July was very quiet. The Park is ideal for families who want something different to the offerings of some of the bigger players. eg No massive amusement arcades and a small friendly clubhouse.
All in all an excellent holiday and good value for money in a beautiful peaceful part of the country.

Dog friendly & most welcoming
Good clean accommodation. Outstanding clifftop sea views. Nice bar & entertainment also dog friendly. Adjacent to perfect cliff walks overlooking the sea with direct beach access from the site. Only downside is the Bacton gas terminal to the left side but it is silent and odourless and does not spoil the sea views. Reasonably priced and you are sure of a warm welcome from Anna. Don`t forget to bring your binoculars to see the cargo & container ships, fishing boats & seals. Highly recommended by Mrs.R.F.
